It so fast. It even works indoors with 4 walls.

My back history: I used to have Bell Atlantic with their first ADSL. Later one Verizon took it over and the highest ADSL we can get was like 7.1Mbmps download. Boy, those days were painful. We didn't change to Earthlink or other cable company. Later on when a storm hit. I lost copper. Verizon wont fix the copper they want to put in Fios. My landlord doesn't want fios. SMH. Yes, I file the complain to get fios with the NYC. Nothing much happen.

My brother got us all (5 people in the house hold.) T-Mobile Unlimited talk, text, data, we were on 4G. speed was spotty. Some times 100Mbps down, some times 70, or 50Mbps. and upload was 50-70Mbps, and worst days is 9Mbps.

Last week my bro got 4 of us new phones(June 20th). He got him self S22($699), and me and my parents S22+($799 on amazon.). Boy, this 5G is crazy fast. I am getting mostly 700 - 750Mbps, hardly goes under. Upload is 70Mbps - 100Mbps at home, and outside the apartment I get 120Mbps upload. The 5G tower is facing us. I am super lucky. I do not have visual line of sight on it. The tower I notice that is facing us is less than a block away from us.

I believe we are on 5G NSA, one of the app said I was on N41, with other LTE connections. Cool thing is at home I have 0 visual line of slight of any 5G or 4G tower and I am still getting high speed. I also did a test by going to my bathroom and closed the door. It is further away from the windows. Basically, it is middle of the apartment building. It also have 0 visual line of sight of the 5G/4G tower. I am still getting the same speed 700-750Mpbs download and upload is like 50-70Mbps.

Oh, as for ms. I am getting 15 to 20 most of the day. Like today it rain. My ms went up to 35 ms. But the download and upload speed were the same high speed. I love 5G.

PS: We are on Magenta® MAX plan. All 5 lines. We changed to this plan on the 3rd day when it came out. My bro made a call to T-Mobile. Tho, at the time we only have 4G phones. S10+/S10/Note 9, etc., Oh, it is now $230 for 5 lanes because the promotion is over my brother said.

The KVD21 gateway manufactured by Arcadyan is easy to place most anywhere and has and easy to read display. The setup process consisted on plugging in the gateway, logging in to the default WiFi, renaming the network, setting a password for the network, and setting a password for administration. The entire process took less than five minutes.

T-Mobile Home Internet is great if you are in an area that is not oversold. I get constant sub-300 mbps download and 130 mbps upload. In 5G UC areas on my phone I get 600 mbps but only sub 20 mbps upload. which is fine only if you do not stream out on the internet (Twitch live, youtube live etc) It may be better for some but I was right under a 5G UC tower and the download is likely 1gbps, upload is not so great. I do not know why that was but I did report it to T-mobile in case it is an issue they are just starting to build UC (Ultra Capacity) here in my rural area. So it may improve on upload.

There are 2 wireless gateways they offer the Nokia "Trash-can" and the Arcadiya "Darth Vader" ones. The Nokia is said to be better on the ability to turn off the wifi and use your own router which is said to be more faster overall, the Vader one is more complicated. But you can turn it off and you can use an external router. If you want to know more about TMHI and more in-depth reviews of the service, routers, and tips to make it work the best search for "Nater Tater" on youtube.

You can hook up an external antenna if you want to get better service but that is a task that who knows how to do that. He has videos to show how but unless you know what you are doing, you are best to move the gateway around to find the sweet spot.

You can put your address in at T-mobile's home internet page and see if you qualify, if you are in a rural area you may be surprised that you can get it. And if you do it is cheap. Cheaper than Cable, Fiber and more so than satellite service. I paid $124 a month for 100/100M service here with my local phone company, and get better speeds for less than 1/2 the costs.

I recommend if you can get T-Mobile internet. it is best cost vs performance. Now you may see slowdowns on network congestion which if you live in a rural area like me, you very likely will never experience.

Overall, I really wanted this to work, but unfortunately it just didn't hold up. My wireline DSL 100MB was not cutting it anymore, so the $50 dollar a month with autopay, no contract, no data caps and overall good reviews online, for the most part, I decided to check it out. Order process was straightforward, I chatted with a rep and the order was placed. Within a couple of days, I got the Nokia modem, the "trashcan" as it is called by folks online. Install was easy, just place it and plug it in. The display on top showed the bars, so I placed it around the house to try and find the best signal/speeds. A good tip is near windows placed somewhat high if possible. So I plugged it in my home network, it really is that easy.

Speeds were pretty good for the most part, between 200 to 300 MBs down, but at any part of the day, it was just that, between 200 to 300 MBs . Uploads were more consistent, with 30 MBs up at any part of the day. Latency was higher than my wired service, between high 30s to lower 50s. Again, like the speed, it was just all over the place between these numbers. I would say between the mid 40s, but it wouldn't stay there.

Service itself in my experience was mixed to not good. We have multiple devices/pcs with streams/downloads/video running as well as online gaming. T-Moblie does not give a public IP, they are on a private network, and give another private IP range to your home. There is no IPv6. For websites/email and watching a movie, the service does what it is intended. But when it comes to online gaming/real time video, then the service just doesn't hold up in my opinion. My zoom calls would always drop at least once which is tough for working remote. Online gaming was bearable at best, but just annoying. I would see the delay in not only the players online, but the delay in reaction. Example would be Team Fortress 2, an old game. With my wireline, latency was consistent to low 40 ms to Virginia servers. But with this service, I was getting 60 to 70 ms and it was constantly moving, the jitter was bad. Not the best experience.

But this was when it was working for a few hours. Then the service would just stop...to the point where I had to power cycle the modem to get service restored. I tried to move the modem around, but still the same result. I called tech support, they were very helpful and tried to fix my issue, but after 3 calls and saying that they fixed something "on their end," a couple of hours later, it would stop. This was a dealbreaker for me.

I wanted to like this, I have nothing but praise for their cellphone service, but the lockups, the latency/jitter issues and not to mention they don't give a public IP, just a private one, I had to cancel this after 2 weeks. I feel that this is still in the testing phase and not fully operational, but this is my experience. With wireless I feel your mileage may vary, for me, it just didn't hold up.

Well, they really aren't marketing high end gamers, are they?

T-Mobile home internet is great for customers with lower requirements. I'm a low requirements guy, and am happy as hell with my service. Sure, I wish the latency was better. My crappy old AT&T 24 down/2 up on a bonded pair actually gives me 18 down/1.5 up with a latency of 31-33. My T-Mo service ranges widely but I generally get 260-400 down with 30 to 60 up with latencies that vary during the day but seem to stay about 50-60. Both services cost me $50 per month. The only reason I haven't dumped AT&T completely is because I'm still trying to decide what I want to do with my landline. Ooma looks like a good option. Note: if I put my T-Mo gateway in the window of a front bedroom I've seen insane speeds ~1 gig. But that's just not convenient for us. Of course that window is only 195" from the 5g tower. I just tested and came up with 608/47 @67 ms. I'm satisified with that.

No, high end gamers are not their target market. They are after average consumers who want simple, adequate Internet service. I get a "good" signal in most of my home and settled on a location where I reliably get at least 70 down and 30 up. Plenty of speed for streaming HD video content and video conferencing.

Great service for me

I usually get 500 to 650 MB downloads and around 85 to 110 MB uploads. I have had downloads as high as 920 MB. I have been using the service since December and have been very pleased. I have an ASUS mesh network with the T-Mobile connected to my RT-AX55 router. I am using Ethernet over power line for the back haul.

Re: Great service for me

It seems to be that if you are in a metro area with good coverage, you'll get decent service, but if you are in a rural or suburban/rural environment it won't be worth the trouble of low signal and dropped connections, and $50/mo
isn't a good deal.

Re: Great service for me

This was the situation in my rural area. Not worth $50/month by a long shot, and yet it sold out in less than two months. My guess is that the $50 broadband subsidy might have been a factor.

for me I was having troubles, having to power cycle the 'trashcan'.. I had a wireless router laying around so ran cable from t-mobile unit to router and logged into router. ·Comcast XFINITY
I have 4 lines on my family plan. Pricing is about $100 for that, then T Mobile will finance your phones. Good thing I have good credit. LOL. We have 2.5 GB of 4G LTE. Which for me is fine. Some of the others on my account run out, but Im the one who is the primary. Speeds are not bad, not as good as Comcast but I dont expect that from LTE. T Mobile service and be sketchy in some areas. T Mobile uses higher frequencies which tend to hate walls and such. So some times you will not get the best signal indoors. I do pretty well for myself. I will say they are a hell of a lot better than sprint. T Mobiles CEO is awesome. He is very active on social media, and T Mobile themselves seem to give a damn about their customers. They give us free stuff every Tuesday, like a Wendy's frosty. Hell, they gave all primary account holders stock, so now im an investor. LOL. If you live in a metro area like I do. Then T Mobile is for you. Yes technically ATT and Verizon may be T Mobile in network. T Mobile competes very strongly in value all around. On top of it, if you do hit your data cap, NO OVERAGES. You just are stuck on slow 2G until the next month or you buy more data.

5/9/2017

Still on the same plan, but only 3 people. In the city of Romulus, MI I get about 20 Mbps down which is pretty nice. Lately Comcast has been unreliable and T Mobile has my back. T Mobile Tuesdays is still awesome, Got me a free card for my mom for mothers day and got me a real nice Vista Print mouse pad from T Mobile Tuesdays. I feel its still the the best value for the money. Currently rocking the One Plus 3t for those who are wondering. Great phone and a great network.

1/5/2019

Still on the same plan and got my mom to join the magenta side. So again I got 4 lines on the family choice plan. Even the T Mobile employees at the stores said its the best value plan out there even though its no longer offered. Service still is good. T Mobile Tuesdays is nice, especially on the Tuesdays they do the 25 cents of a gallon at Shell. T Mobile has been good to me, unlike their competitor Comcast who keeps raising rates and screwing over their customers.

12/29/2020

Still on the same plan, but only have 3 lines in use. Speeds have gotten better. T Mobile Tuesdays is still one of my favorite things. I get 15 cents off a gallon of gas each week. Not to mention the food coupons they also provide on occasion. Ive looked in to a new plan but it would result in higher cost, so I stick with the Simple Choice plan, at least till they force me to a new one.

12/03/2021

Still on the Family Simple Choice plan. We have 3 lines currently. Dropped insurance on my moms phone a few months ago, her phone is getting close to needing replacement. T Mobile Tuesdays still the best day of the week. Enjoy the savings on gas and food coupons. Speed have been pretty consistent. Local Cell site has backup power which has come in to handy due to DTE's lack of ability to keep power on during storms and some times even clear days. Wish that every deal didnt involve the Magenta Max plan but cant have everything. To be honest if my family wasn't on the plan Id probably do the Magenta max plan.

T Mobile Rocks

Ok. first the disclaimer. I'm not a paid T-Mobile service announcer. And when it comes to cell phones, I'm a very critical customer. I worked for Sprint as a switch tech for 10 years and HAD their cell service for 15 years.

Service: My first experience with TMO's service was when I put the wife on "Project Fi" (Google). I was a beta tester for Republic Wireless but even at a cheaper price, it was Sprint only and the service/phones were not the best. What I concluded after my Sprint service vs her TMO service was her network connections and speed blew my Sprint service out of the water.

I switched my phone from Sprint to TMO. Now, remember, I was an employee and because the layoffs in 2009, I was still considered a "displaced employee" so I still had my employee phone accounts. 6 and one Airave. I got their 55+ plan for $60. After watching their video (hilarious) I went into a store and signed up. Painless. The young lady who worked with me was cool as hell. She knew what she was doing through the hole process and followed up afterwards. After a few months of "testing", I found it was good enough to move the rest of the family over.

So, as of today, I'm on the military plan. I had 6 devices and 1 watch on the account. Service was $130. That would be unlimited everything, 50gb LTE data cap before throttled to 3G. All phones have tethering. I got my BOGO Apple and Samsung phone (everyone got new phones except the wife and myself. Her Nexus and my S7 edge ported over (but I ended up getting a TMO comparable S7). I've had a couple of billing issues but they took care of it on the spot (in my favor of course).

As of today, I have 5 phones and 1 watch on the plan. I moved one phone back to Google FI for service reasons. Back in the fall we traveled to Wisconsin but went through Michigan, up the UP and over then down to WI. No service in a vast part of the UP for TMO. Last few times we did that, we had service if you had Sprint. So, that's why I put the wife back on Google. IMO and experience, TMO is beyond a good deal but their service is pretty solid in 99% of the places I travel. I've been places where people who had Verizon or ATT didn't have good service, I'd still have more bars and was able to operate w/o dropping calls or seeing data slow to a crawl. My daughter travels a lot out to Utah for work and she's said she's never had a bad experience and loves the GOGO service she gets on the plane. (I pay the extra for her so she has unlimited use when airborne)

I like TMO and think the CEO is a wildman. His personality is clearly a good one for the company. I hope they do merge with Sprint and read the rewards of having all those CO's and backbone. I just hope they don't muck it up.

This. I've had tmobile for 12 or so years. Picked up new phones without a credit check since I have been with them for so long. Speeds have always improved over the years. Pulled over 100mbit at times at some locations and regularly pull 60-80mbit at home. Work used to be in a dark hole edge only, now 40mbit or so. In Laws house in Prineville Oregon was edge at one point. Now 15-30mbit 4G LTE. As long as they keep improving, they will keep my business. I work in IT and regularly update my phone so Im always on the newest hardware which I may benefit from always on the newest bands. Kids that watch youtube/twitch.tv a lot, the unlimited data is great.

I just hope if and when the merge happens, we don't turn into Sprint. Sprint from my experience with friends who had it over the years and co workers have always had horrible reception and horrible voice quality compared to all the other carriers.

Re: T Mobile Rocks

I agree. I hope that TMO uses Sprints CO's and backbone to it's favor. I also wish TMO would use the same technology Google uses. Be able to use both GSM and CDMA on one phone. Thats the ONE thing nice about Google FI, 3 cell services on one phone. Or, over time, just change Sprints CDMA switches over to GSM/LTE 2.0 and keep the heat going.

UPDATE: 12/1/2021

Speed has improved on TMo Home Internet, although some of the speed is due to the trees shedding leaves for the winter. I am now averaging 125 Mbps down through the day, and I've seen as high as 235 in the middle of the night. Upload is a very consistent 30, give or take a few, with a high of 37. I've had no loss of service and no problems with the Nokia device, the MiFi hotspot, or my Samsung phones. No data caps - even though it's just me and I'm not a gamer nor do I have smart home devices connected, I've hit half a terabyte some month with no problem. And all for a great price. It's been just about a year since I made the switch from cable, and I won't go back.

UPDATE: 9/25/2021

Finally got TMo Home Internet on August 22 2021. After a full month of service, I can say this is everything TMo says it is and everything I need. My tower is only n71 low-band 5G, but I still see very good speed. Peak times, I get 80-85 Mbps down and 12-17 up. Off-peak, it's 100-120 down and 15-20 up. In the middle of the night, I've seen as high as 190 down and 30 up. I had almost 500 GB of data, mostly streaming television (watching baseball). The cable service I replaced was only the 100 tier which usually tested around 116/37, so my TMo HI service is definitely comparable in terms of speed - but at just $50/month compared to $93.50 for cable, the price is what ensures I won't go back. It will only get better once my tower is updated to n41 mid-band, and at the same price? Gravy!

UPDATE: 12/28/2020

Got the new Inseego MiFi M2000 5G Hotspot from TMo. Out of the box, I got a very nice 128 down/31 up, and I get 100 GB for $50/month. My previous cycle (first full month entirely on TMo) was 67 GB, so 100 GB is certainly enough for me. Very steady signal.

------------------

After one too many cable rate increases, I decided to go fully wireless. I'm 4000 feet from a TMo tower, so chose them as replacement service. I have the Magenta Plus Unlimited 55 plan (for customers age 55+), priced at $90 for 2 phone lines (taxes and fees covered) which includes unlimited 5G data for the phones and 40 GB of 4G hotspot data (20 per line) and 3G-speed after that allotment is used. I added an optional 10 GB of hotspot data for an extra $10/month and can add another 10 GB if I need it. These two phone lines replace the two cable VoIP lines I had, and overall, the package came in notably less expensive.

Speedwise, I had a 100-down cable plan, and with little adjustment, I am getting 80 down with TMo on my computers, so I am seeing very little difference in internet browsing. Upload was 35 Mbps with cable and right now, it's averaging 5 with TMo, but as the 5G mid-wave service expands, I have options of getting 5G home data service in the near future which would greatly improve speed in both directions.

I have a pair of Samsung A71 5G phones handling the service, and they are getting solid signal levels - 4 bars of 4G and 3 bars of 5G at most times. There was no issue with the ordering process, which I did over the phone with a TMo rep, who was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable - a noticeable improvement over the slowly degrading customer service I was getting from cable.

I'm only a week in, but so far so good. This service is just for me alone, so I probably wouldn't recommend it (yet) for a family that does a lot of internet and streaming - but for my needs, it's very good.

Nice speeds from T-Mobile home internet

Your speeds are nearly identical to my Spectrum cable internet with T-Mobile at home. My address in Bradenton, FL does not qualify, despite some nearby zip codes qualifying. I wish they would open it up to more places. I would love the higher upload it can provide. I am tempted to get one of the T-Mobile 5g hotspot devices.

Re: Nice speeds from T-Mobile home internet

My address didn't qualify for Home Internet until mid-July, and I immediately jumped on it. Took a month because the Nokia gateway is frequently on backorder due to the demand for the service. It's been as stable as my old cable, so I'm pleased.

As for the hotspot, they may not have the 100GB for $50 plan right now... It was a promo when I got it, and as long as I keep it, I keep the data amount and rate. Current max plan is 50 GB for $50 until they offer the promo again.
»www.t-mobile.com/cell-ph ··· ta-plans

If you feel you need 100 GB, I would also suggest checking the AT&T Prepaid Hotspot plan, which is 100 GB for $55, if there's an AT&T tower nearby.

I checked the T-Mobile coverage map and saw I was in a "5G Ultra Capacity" (2.5 Ghz n41) area. I immediately called T-Mobile and ordered their Home Internet service. It is $50 a month, taxes and fees included, for unlimited data. Ordering was a simple process, just be aware that they will run a credit check if you're a new customer. I placed the order on a Friday and UPS delivered the router/modem on a Tuesday. The router is a T-Mobile branded Nokia Fastmile with 4G LTE, 5G, two gigabit ethernet ports, and WiFi 6. I plugged it in place of my Spectrum cable modem and ran a speed test. It is connected to B2/n41 and got 300+Mb down. On the speedtests I've run since, I regularly pull 300Mb/s and usually over 400Mb/s. Now, I'm getting faster downloads for less money. Just be aware that your speeds will depend on your distance from the tower and what bands the tower is using. I canceled Spectrum after using T-Mobile Home Internet for a few days.

Cable companies should be scared as a new player has come to town.

I am in the Youngstown area and we keep getting post cards for this. Do you know if they offer a stand alone option that you can plug into your own router? Do you know if they throttle? I am figuring if I put the receiver in my attic or side of my house and then feed through, I am going to get the best speed possible.

Re: Thank you for your review

There is no standalone or bridge mode for the gateway. Some people have had success in plugging their own router into the gateway and disabling the gateway's Wifi, but that would create a double NAT situation.

All data from Home Internet customers is deprioritized, meaning phone customers have higher priority on the network, but even with deprioritization, I'm still getting over 300Mb/s.

If you're going to put the gateway in the attic, make sure you have a way for it to stay cool. The Nokia gateways can overheat. What some users, including myself, have done is buy a small fan off Amazon for $10 and use that to create airflow through the gateway, since it doesn't have a built-in fan. »www.amazon.com/gp/produc ··· F8&psc=1

TMoHI is a YMMV service. Best way to find out if it'd work for you is to try it. Before ordering, check the coverage map (»www.t-mobile.com/coverag ··· rage-map) and make sure you're in a 5G area, preferably a "ultra capacity" 5G area.

You have to use the TM gateway and it does not have a bridge mode for use with your router. You can still plug your router into one of the two ethernet ports and use it on a different subnet though. You can't turn off DHCP on the TM gateway so this will result in a double NAT. Triple NAT, actually, since TM uses CGNAT for IPv4.

I would be careful about putting it in the attic. These gateways have been known to overheat easily.

You also want to place it where you get the best reception and that is not always where it's the most convenient for you.

Thank you both. I have cat6 pulled into my attic from a few different places, my thought it mount whatever they provide to the side of the house if possible. Will investigate further. Per tmobiles site I am in 5g ultra wideband territory.

This is my review of their Home Internet service.

This is just about one of the best things since sliced bread! I had been checking for a few months since I heard that they were offering home internet. I was so fed up last month that something just told me to check on T-Mobile. Boom, they offered it finally in my area. I signed up, chatted with them online (if you just want their internet, make SURE you do not agree to add other lines), they shipped it out, and voila! It was a quick install. Already activated and ready. Yes, you do have to use their mobile app to set the device up. It's not bad in that regard but trying to do anything afterward with the device...the app fails in that regard.

The rep told me that the minimum guaranteed speed was 25 megabit down. I saw...60+ down and nearly 20 up. After finding an optimal location (remember, this runs off of their mobile network so you would do the same as with your cell phone when trying to find the perfect spot, get near a window), I saw speeds well over 100 Mb/s! This floored me. In this rural town, all we have is AT&T U-Verse (DSL really...3 Meg though the further in town you go the faster you can get possibly...up to 20 I think) and Suddenlink (15 Meg but it's unreliable and stupidly expensive).

The gateway does get warm. I do have some upload issues (maybe heat-related, maybe signal-related), but at least adding a fan to it helps.

Try it! NO contract either!

Update 10/27/21: So a new firmware was released to help with band locking. I've read mixed reviews on it but for me in this town: it works! It officially blows Suddenlink and AT&T out of the water...and out of this Universe! GO T-MOBILE! As I said, there's no contract so if it's available in your area then...DO IT!

Better than my old Centurylink DSL (10Mbps per phone line w/2 phone lines!)

Click for full size
So far so... mostly good
I have to agree, at least so far. My first speed test here was over 200 Mbps. I've found that the speed varies wildly during the day though all the way down to unusable. Normally it's around 100 Mbps. I'll stick with it to see if it stabilizes. They could really uses some QoS/SQM logic on the Nokia 5G (Cylinder) gateway to deal with buffer bloat at least according to the speed tests here

mobile app not required.

No, you do not have to use their mobile app to set the device up. You can login to the gateway with any web browser to set it up. That is what I have done. I've had mine since February and never used the app.

The service has been great for working from home all day in our household. Definitely worth a try.

Re: mobile app not required.

The only caveat to this is that if you do choose to use the app at some point you'll have to go through setup again. It's best to at least do a very basic setup on the app (even if it's keeping defaults) just so you can use it later.

Not available in my area yet

I would love to try this out myself. My address does not qualify yet even though there is fairly strong T-Mobile signal here. Hoping they open it up to more addresses soon.

Use your own router

Has anyone figured out how to bridgemode their gateway or get a standalone receiver? That is quite literally the only thing stopping me from trying it. Ideally, I'd like something I can mount to the side of my house, cat6 to my edgerouter x. My address qualifies for 5G Ultrawideband.

How is the tech support?

What is the date of the OP? The page does not show it !

Can you get human tech support on the phone easily?
Verizon DSL is not as good as it was, but I get a human without too much "press x, then x, then z."

Odd they don't even mention setting it up on a computer, only a smartphone. And they want to geolocate your cell phone to determine the coverage area, not your address. Code Kiddies in charge...

I kind of live out in the boondocks. When I first moved here all they had was dialup 22 years ago. They (Qwest) ran DSL out here about 2 years latter. this everything up to just over 1 mbs. Century Link bought out Qwest and yes every know and again I got up to 18 mbs. and .7 upload.

Because CenturyLink has no plans to upgrade I called T-Mobile. I've been with them for about 5 years for my cell phones . Setting up the router was very easy. However, it quit working a day later. I called T-Mobile and got it working again but it quit again that very night. Speaking with the Tech Department they trouble shot the modem from their end and said it was defective and sent me another overnight.

Depending on the time of day the service would fluctuate. It would go from around 40 MBS at night to 4 or 5 during the day. Then it went down for a day. I called T-Mobile when and I was notified they are working on one of the 5g towers which is the one I would normally connect to. The closest tower was a 4g tower and it was down as well. So my phones and router were all fighting for space on the one remaining tower. They told me they were sorry but the completion date for the upgrades was July 16.

What's the point of all the above? I was so sick of CenturyLink saying the problem wasn't on their end, when it was. Working from home became unbearable as the whole network crashed at least once every day. T-mobile on the other hand admitted to me the problem and gave me a date it would be completed. Because I was working from home they switched my line over to a business connections so it would have priority. Still they apologized profusely for the problem. They reassured me again the tower should be completed by July 16 and the 4g tower fixed as soon as possible.

That impressed me! Granted the speed isn't as fast as I though it would be, but they are working on it. So far, since they switched my line to a business line, connectivity has been very reliable. Yes it still fluctuates but it stays on.

Around about June of 2021 T-mobile speed went straight in the toilet. I had Dial Up speed during working hours. I would call them constantly and every time I got the same answer. They are working on the Towers, Please just hang on. We will refund your monthly charge. I went about 4 months and did not pay a dime. But I was getting more and more frustrated as the connection was getting worse by the day. Then WHAM I haven't pulled anything less than 60 mps. The average is 94.9 download and 12.9 upload. Even the latency has improved. Down from over 100-200 to 40-70ish. They got it right!. I have a Verizon work phone. If it works (no pun intended) it never gets above 1mbs. Plus it just keeps dropping calls. For the price and NO DATA CAPS or THROTTLING, you cannot beat the price!

You should see improvements as TM continues to build out their network.

If TM is currently working on the towers in your area your speeds may go up when they are done.

My TM Home Internet started at 30-35 mbps down and 7 mbps up when I was on only 4G LTE. This jumped to 65 down / 9 up two weeks later when I got the 5G signal. My latest speeds 5 months later are now 412 down / 60 up. These were all measured between between 4 - 5 P.M. when I got offline from working at home.

I'm not as rural as you are so your speeds aren't going to be what I get. I'm just saying that things are getting better because TM is currently building out this network.

Re: You should see improvements as TM continues to build out their network.

I sure hope so! The last two weeks made me wish I never left Century Link. I think the internet was down more than up. However, T-Mobile did refund me a total of &70.00 and apologized for the lack of proper service.

The anticipated completion date for the retrofit of the towers was the 16th of July. TM informed me one of the major 4g towers in the area was down with no estimated time for it to come back online. I can guess which tower it is because I've seen crews working on it everyday for some time now. This has delayed the new 5g Tower.

I was very shocked and pleased when they just credited my account roughly 1.5 months worth of internet charges. Today, so far it hasn't gone out so maybe things are looking better.
