A satisfied customer for almost five years. I received a call from a technical rep shortly after setting up the account; did not need help and have not had to talk to them since. I have their basic Linux hosting package, and they do domain registrations. The monthly cost is a combination of domain and hosting. I have had no bad experiences with them, and don't recall any outages that were their responsibility. I consider myself more than just computer literate, and do things like run special applications for forums and photo galleries on other sites, some of them GoDaddy hosted. They work. My "Bad" comment is not about their advertising, but their web presence and email promotions, which are only a minor irritant. Their web presence is a little better than a few years ago, when it was difficult to find a way through their sales links to manage your own site. Now, not so bad. My site is not the busiest in the world, and I have never been bandwidth or storage constrained. Potential customers should check their needs; it is easy to buy too much space and speed. There are free sites, and some that cost less. My experience with these is that in a commodity like web hosting, saving money can correspond to reduced service. Happy with GoDaddy and can't save enough elsewhere to make a switch worthwhile.

I started with godaddy about a year ago. Service was good, support was always around for questions and they provided a pretty decent service. My reason for leaving them was all the addon charges they want for any little change or addition that others don't charge for, and the long waits for auto installs, example: wp auto install took 2 hours, small sql backups 3 hours.. changes/updates take too long

Have not had to speak with at all.. In fact I forgot I even wrote this review.. So over all good job godaddy keep up the good work,

I have been using Go-daddy as my domain register for a quite some time... Always been very good. Recently I decided to start using them for email. Again they have been very good... Tech support is very responsive and is not over seas. Nice to speak to follow american or Canadian when calling in.

Email system was very easy to setup. Intergrated well into my blackberry system...

So far not much I can find wrong with this company...

I ordered the smallest package. I already had 6 domains with GoDaddy and had never had a problem. My old host just randomly shut down without notice so I had to look other places. Overall pretty good host. Wish had Cpanel UCP but the supplied is sufficient. No contract or hidden fees. Just have to turn down 4-5 pages of garbage like site stats software, search engine junk, etc. Overall 3.5 out of 5

Please forgive my pricing for being an estimate. Godaddy breaks up web hosting and email and I am not totally positive what my charges are since they are so reasonable. I pay forty-fifty bucks a year for web hosting and then another 30 bucks a year for email. All around this is a pretty good value for hosting and email from a company this size. Godaddy is one of the few companies that let you pay for email without buying hosting space. This is a great option for small businesses that only want email at their domain. For ten bucks a year for the registration plus 30 bucks a year for the email account, a small business can have a pretty robust setup.

Probably one of the worst aspects of Godaddy's services is their limitation of 250 outgoing emails per day/ account. This is a little small for some small businesses with fax servers, etc. It hasn't been a problem for me. With their $30/year email plan, you get unlimited sized email boxes, 10 accounts and IMAP access and this is a fantastic value. IMAP has been slow with occasional hiccups, but it is adequate. Godaddy blocks email from certain Eastern European countries altogether and is fairly strict. I get a lot less SPAM using Godaddy than I did under my previous hosting company. If you do a lot of communication outside of the US and Canada I would suggest you go elsewhere. Finally in the complaint department, I find their web site maddeningly complicated and cluttered. This means making adjustments to your accounts can be difficult. This is balanced by the fact that if you have a question, you can call them and receive help usually in seconds. Godaddy also offers a hosted Exchange product for around 10 bucks a month/ 2GB account. This is pretty expensive but amazingly useful if you need it.

If you want to do business with a large solid company, Godaddy is a pretty decent company to do business with.

  • "free ad supported host with free email"
  • "banner ad at top of each page"
  • "a great value for a page that isn't expected to generate much income"

i keep a small page up for my pc repair business. my annual income is only a couple hundred bucks (i don't do any other advertising), so i didn't want to waste a boatload of money on hosting.

Godaddy gives me plenty of storage and traffic for free. with just one lil banner at the top of each page. includes pop3 email, with a catch all feature, and a stats page. i haven't checked on uptime, but i really have no complaints. costs me around $9 a year to renew my domain name.

i just bought a few .info domains for $3 each, with free hosting. just to play with.

I am using their economy web hosting and I have 3 domain names with them.

Their DNS control for domain names is VERY powerful, and blows 1and1 out of the water. In fact, this is the very reason I switched to GoDaddy.

Their Metropolis Community makes installing common applications (Joomla, Wordpress, etc.) as easy as a couple clicks. However, custom installs or installs of other software is very easy. Setting up the MySQL databases was straightforward once I figured out the database name is the same as the username.

They also allow you to have your own php.ini file to override some of their settings (I needed to increase my maximum upload size and was able to do so without a problem).

I highly recommend GoDaddy for your domain names and web hosting.

Their tech support the one time I had to talk to them was good and told me exactly where to find the information I needed.

So I paid the 8 bucks \ a year deal. Not too shabby as some might say. Set me RIGHT up off my credit card. (and you can send checks) Re-Routed my website and it took about 4-5 hours to authorize it (dont know why) Looked around to upload files to share off my DOT COM, but..ta....ya cant.. The IP never changes and the setup was very quick....2/4 people id recomend this service to. My experience (my first DOT COM as well) was fair...i mean....There is better out there...and I have to look for it.
