$47 per month about 6 days "Painless setup, reliable." "Ridiculous 25 GB transfer cap, fairly high price for speed." "Nothing better in Bay City... yet."

Let's get the biggest thing out of the way first: Bay City Cablevision limits you to 25 GB/month, with $1/GB overage charges. This is true for all of their packages (3, 5, 7 Mb/s).
If you can swallow that pill (and a very bitter pill it is), the rest is okay. There's no contract, you can use your own cable modem, the setup guy was in and out in under 10 minutes, and the speeds & connection are reliable. Prices are high for the speeds available, if you're used to bigger broadband markets (the $47/month charge is for 5 Mb/s). Curiously, when I signed up, they required me to set up autodraft for monthly bill payment -- I don't know if they still do this.
The only major competition that I know of is AT&T DSL, but on the south side of town AT&T only offers 1.5 Mb/s and rarely reaches even that. It's uncapped but painfully slow.

Bay City Cablevision provides warpspeed1.net internet service and they Boast. No Contracts, No Games! We are all about getting you on the internet at the fastest speeds possible. With Warp Speed 1 Internet you don't have any commitments. With blazing speeds toping at 3.0 Mbps, you can download music in seconds, not minutes or hours as dial-up users would.
I ordered the 4 meg package for $50.99 which is outrageous. When it was installed I couldn't even get 2 megs of speed. In the evenings the speeds went down as low as 44k. Their answer to that was "well we only say up to 2 meg or 3 meg or 4 meg.
Over 6 months my average speed is about 290k, When talking to the regional manager he replied "well if everyone would quit running speed tests we'd have faster speeds" If you would like to see more results go to »www.baycitycable.com
What is sad is they are intentionally selling packages that they know they can't provide.
