I had Comcast high speed internet for nearly two years prior to Stephouse. I had no real issues with Comcast, but in the interest of helping the smaller local guy, I decided to give Stephouse a go.

The install process was pretty straightforward. The service is delivered over wireless to my condo building and then runs on DSL in the building. The installer was here for about an hour in my condo and in the building's telephone room to get everything set up. Everything went smoothly and I was up and running after that.

I have the 10 MB package for 55.00/month (they offer up to 20 MB). That really is 55.00/month with no hidden fees or below the line charges. Speeds are generally a little higher than advertised and there are no caps on the service. I use the connection for streaming HD video on NetFlix, YouTube, Amazon, etc. and have run into no significant issues. I get through two hour HD movies with no buffering interruptions.

The only issue I've had with the service was a modem that went bad. Unfortunately, this happened over the weekend and Stephouse doesn't have weekend support, so that's something to be aware of. They were very prompt in getting a service tech out on Monday, however.

All in all, if you live in their (admittedly small) service area, Stephouse is easy to recommend. Speeds as advertised, clear billing and reliable local support make them an excellent choice for service.
