They could not able to provide a service that you can use for local/international calls.

Someone can argue that the internation calls via voip may be unreliable. Trust me, you will be very disappointed when you make a call, the other party says can you call using you land line or some other phone service and tells you "Thank God" You sound much better, when you call them back using you cell phone.

Bottom line is your cell phone calls are way better than the "Teleblend Phone Calls". Do not let the techs fool you that, the service issues are due to internet connection. As I have 20/10 Mbps and other VOIP services works great with the same internet where as this POS does not.

I signed up with Teleblend in early January, and faxed in my agreement to port my number the day after. I emailed a week later asking for the status, and was told that no fax was received. I faxed the document again with the same result (nothing received). I asked if I could email the document, but was told that they couldn't receive attachments. An internet based company can't receive email attachments!? I asked for a refund, but none was given. Had to go thru my credit card company to get a refund.

I took the easy route when SunRocket went under. Since signing up, I'm not able to make long distance calls. I've called 3 to 4 times on the issue. During the last call on September 1, I was told that the ticket would be escalated and I would get a call in 24 to 48 hours - never received such a call. I called again on 10 September and was told the same - i.e. will get a call in 24 to 48 hours. I don't think so. I'm signing up for someone else.

UPDATE 2/13/2008: This problem dragged on and on. I would up asking for a refund for service that never worked. The refund never happened. I finally initiated a charge-back with my credit card company and left Teleblend forever.

TeleBlend Not Working after 2 mo.

Signed on w/TeleBlend on 7/21 from SunRocket. Trouble tkt on 7/29 (calls go through, but not voice packets) - total of 4 tkts for same problem until CSR finally combined into one on 9/2. Problem continues as of today (9/12) & still no response from tech support. TB billed 2 mo. for NO service & does not allow disabling of autobill online nor cancellation!

Fed up w/TeleBlend & taking cable offer. I was big on VOIP & SunRocket but now soured on VOIP. Too bad... lots of friends/family waiting to see how it worked out. It will take a long time to convince me or them to try it again.

    Teleblend woes

I too took the easy way out and went with Teleblend after Sunrocket folded. Service was spotty and customer service sub-par. Finally I decided enough was enough and contracted phone service with my local cable company but the story doesn't end here.
In November 2007 I contracted phone service with my local cable company. My number was ported on 12/14/07 and I thought that I had washed my hands of Teleblend. I was sadly mistaken. On 12/21/07 Teleblend did charge my credit card even though my number had been ported already. Naturally, I called my credit card company to dispute the charge on 1-2-08 and the credit card put me in contact with a Teleblend rep. Their reason for charging me "you haven't officially closed your account".
My credit card did reverse the charges, however on that same date, Teleblend without my permission or authority did request to port phone number and service back to them. My number subsequently was ported back to teleblend on 1/30/08 and they automatically cancelled phone service. I've made many calls to have my service restored under the FCC phone slamming laws but it has been slow. Finally, after 12 days of no service Teleblend restored service but did charge my credit card again. I am currently waiting for service to be ported back to my cable company, and a supervisor finally called me back on 2-18-08 in regards to my refund request. (originally requested on about 2-5-08).

For those who want the supervisor info:

    Teleblend is very bad!!

I have had service since 7/2007 Oct - Jan I could not dial out. They told me they were working on it. I asked for a 4 month credit and they said no as I could receive calls. I now will look for a new company.

Putting it bluntly, I made a big mistake choosing TeleBlend as a preferred service after leaving SunRocket.

My phone services was partially operational after choosing TeleBlend as the preferred provider after SunRocket. My phone service went completely dead on or around 08/08/2007. It was a nightmare trying to get a hold of tech support. However, tech support has been easier to contact recently.

Tech support is worthless. They have no clue what is going on. They make promises that aren't kept. It almost makes me cry when I call them, because I feel like I'm being held hostage by their company.

    DO NOT CHOOSE TELEBLEND!

Teleblend is the biggest nightmare in my life for last 4 months (since Aug 2007). I transfered my SunRocket account to Teleblend in hurry - a big mistake. From day one (and till today) I am not able to receive INCOMING CALLS. I have created at least 8 tickets about them and they were closed without any resolution and letting me know about it. AUTO PAY option at web-site is another mistake. I can't change AUTO PAY option using their web-sites. I have called Customer/Tech support several times and had to hang up after 30+ minutes waiting. I have reached twice after waiting 45+ minutes. Both support calls didn't solve my not-receiving-incoming-calls problem. After getting frustrated for 3 months with Teleblend switched to another VOIP service and after a month Teleblend is still not porting my number to switched carrier. Meanwhile, their AUTO PAY bill option is charging me automatically per month. I just tried to submit ticket about removing AUTO PAY option their web-site crashed now at »https://www.myteleblend.net/billcenter.n···ons.aspx
    Current Auto Bill Status: Enrolled

I mean Teleblend is not even product. Any product should go through basic quality assurance test before putting it in market. Teleblend hasn't even done that.

Conclusion: Run away from Teleblend or Help to shut it down

    Teleblend: run away

My experience has been very similar; but in many ways worse, I had a home office teleblend line that greeted my business calls with: "This account is no longer valid." But don't bother contacting the government, they won't help. We need to gather a group together and SUE Teleblend.

Teleblend -the worst customer service of the century !!!

I have very similar experience. No incoming calls since signing up. No outgoing calls beginning this month(Nov '07). The line is completely dead. Tickets are closed in few days without resolving the issue. Customer service after 45min wait time goes to message. Autosign up and the card is charged every month. Luckily I was able to talk to my credit card & defer charges. It is a pain in the back. I wish I could talk to the owner & let him have a bad day. Atleast s/he prefers one after taking hours of time for nothing.

Re: Teleblend -the worst customer service of the century !!!

Exactly the same thing is happening with me. Transferred in July, and it was a BIG MISTAKE !!!. After 6 weeks of poor service, i finally transferred to another service provider (Joiphone... EXCELLENT service and rates)but have been waiting 10 weeks and number has not ported yet. Cannot reach Teleblend by phone or email (just useless trouble tickets that get ignored without further action). Can't even get through to them to cancel the service.
Also being charged for calls to Canada that are supposed to be included in monthly rate (again trouble tickets do not get actioned). Today sent a complaint to the FCC.

Re: Teleblend -the worst customer service of the century !!!

The same happened to me. Just useless trouble tickets and virtually no employee answering phones. Hence you cannot talk to these people. Phone porting has not happened after 2 billing cycles. I canceled the service via a trouble ticket (useless again) and I will instruct the credit card company to dispute the coming charge. In other words drop your number, cancel service and refuse payment. These guys Should be out of business within the next 6-12 months.

Wow.. All anonymous postings. Interesting. Actually I have had no problems. Yes, I did lose inbound service for a while, but it came back and I have had no problems since.

I'm paying 12.95 for telephone service. I can't expect everything to work perfect. If I wanted that, I would pay 150.00 a month and have SLA based guaranteed uptime telephone lines.

Telblend - Shut the company, please

Teleblend is still testing my patience.
It is 3 months now. I had 6 months remained on Sunrocket contract that was transfered to teleblend.

After 2 months/payments of honoring that contract, they went back to $22.09. They should at least honour remaining 4 months (of $15.71) of SUNROCKET contract.

My INCOMING CALLS are still not working for last 3 months and they are still charging me the money for it.

I have created at least 3 trouble tickets, made 3 customer support calls. Waited at least 50 minutes for each call, 2 of them I disconnected after giving up. The one call (2 months ago) I reached was not useful, it was just a lip service. I am still not getting INCOMING CALLS.

This is frustrating experience in my life.

Teleblend is not closing, at the moment

Your statment "I just learned they are closing again in 3 month" is inaccurate. The article about P8 taking over a small 12,000 customer VoIP provider refers to NetZero's PrivatePhone product which is being discontinued. PP customers have been offered a chance to port their numbers to P8 at an intitially attractive monthly rate.

My service never worked properly. Callers were disconnected after a few seconds. Requests for help received automated responses or a notice that my issue had been escalated.

I ported away, but TB took back my numbers. While I was waiting to permanently port away, incoming callers heard a disconnect message.

When I called tech support, the representatives were unable to evaluate problems. Instead, tech support entered tickets. I don't believe I received a response to any of these tickets. In contrast, the billing department was able to issue a refund and cancel my account.

Update: I spoke too soon. I had two accounts with TB. After I canceled, I was charged for another month of service on one account. Also, the refunds I received last month due to a lack of service were added to the invoices of each account. In addition, a "Loyalty Discount" of $6.48 was added to the bill on one account.

When I called billing, I was told that someone would call back in a couple of hours. Obviously, nobody called. I disputed the charge with AMEX.

Update 2: TB canceled my accounts and refunded my payments.

    My Other Reviews·Verizon FIOS
I was a Sunrocket Customer who chose to go to Teleblend as the easiest way to continue VOIP phone service when Sunrocket decided to terminate service. Packet8 was also suggested by Sunrocket but new hardware was required. Later I learned that

    Teleblend paid for this recommendation.

I created two accounts on 7/19/07 and my phones continued to work until 8/04/07 when Sunrocket pulled all their hardware. To date, twenty-four days (24 days) later, I have been without any incoming call capabilities and intermittent outgoing capabilities. Multiple service calls (trouble tickets) have been logged and to this date NOT ONE RETURN CALL FROM ANYONE AT TELEBLEND has been provided.

Their Customer Service Reps range from helpful to rude but the bottom line is that no one has any information to provide about any open ticket. The standard reply is that they will log another call, and/or mark it urgent and someone with call back. THAT CALL NEVER COMES!!!. No escalation process is available above logging a trouble ticket. Supervisors on duty are also taking and logging trouble tickets. Management above that level is not available.

Teleblend had no problem billing me for month two on each account 8/18/07 even though they had not provided promised services to that date. Again, calls were logged to request a refund, yet to date, no refund has been provided on either account. I am still waiting for someone to call me back about that as well.

Today have decided to try another VOIP company and attempted to reach two. I was one hold for 30+ minutes for one and hung up and was on hold again attempting to reach a second. Finally I decided to call Verizon to re-activate my COPPER phone lines. The Customer Service Rep, answered quickly, was helpful, re-opened my accounts, provided a cost competitive package and told me that the PORTIING of my number would occur in 9 days. Of course, they tried to pitch the Verizon FIOS but I

advised them for the moment, I just wanted working phones. I have already made tentative plans to make the Verizon FIOS move in December.....

Goodbye Teleblend VOIP, Hello Verizon........GLAD TO BE BACK!!

Today, Aug 31th is the 27th day with no change in service, NO RETURN CALLS FROM TELEBLEND and hopefully, only 6 days left before I reconnect with Verizon......

Today, Sept 1st is the 28th day with no change in service, YES, the beginning of week 5. To date NO RETURN CALLS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED FROM TELEBLEND and hopefully, only 5 days left before I reconnect with Verizon copper......

DAY 30 (SEPT 3rd) and NO CALLS FROM TELEBLEND.... I can't believe that any company would fail to contact a customer with outstanding issues if for no reason but to provide a progress report. There is NO PROGRESS here, TELEBLEND has failed to provide the promised services and their lack of response proves that they just don't care!

Only 3 days until Verizon picks my numbers back up and hopefully working phones again......

Today, Sept 5th, Verizon contacted me today to advise me that Teleblend has been NON-RESPONSIVE to their requests to PORT my phone numbers back to them. Not surprising for a company who has not contacted me in 33 days not to respond to this request as well. I have again contacted Teleblend and spoke to a Supervisor, Greg who assured me that he would follow-up. I believe this will again fall in to the same TELEBLEND BLACK HOLE but hope for the best. Verizon has moved the install date another week...... Sept 12th will be the 40th day in Teleblend hell....

HAPPY DAYS ARE HEAR AGAIN!! After 40 days and 52 days respectively, I am completely back on Verizon Copper with my two original phone numbers. I do have plans to move to Verizon FIOS in the near future. Expect for some Auto Billing and Refund issues still pending with Teleblend, I am out of there!!

If you are considering Teleblend, read, read, read before making a move to them. Although many customers state they have had acceptable service, many more have not and I am one of those. Good Luck To ALL!

Re: TeleBlend Not Working after 2 mo.

    MomsHugs,

Sorry to hear you are also a member of the Teleblend VOIP HELL CLUB. It is beyond comprehension that in the 40+ days I had NO Incoming service along with the number of tickets ( at least a dozen ) that TB never had time to give me a call. I was told on a number of occasions that they were "very busy" working customer issues and finally yesterday, I told them that it was hard to believe that in the 40 days that they could not find the time to give me at least one return call for two failing phone lines. The standard issue by the CSR's was that they were sorry.

Verizon has reconnected my one line with the second coming soon. I will NEVER consider VOIP with a smaller company again.

I am sure that everyone who reads this is wondering why I had not made the move away from TB sooner but I did not for two reasons. One, I did not want to loose either of my two phone numbers which were actually in a never-never land condition and Two, I was wish full enough to think that TB might actually be working my issues and the "FIX" was just a day away.

I had also set both of my accounts to DISABLE AUTO BILLING/PAYMENT just last week and yesterday found the one account returned to AUTO PAY with this feature no longer customer adjustable... TB is just bad news and my suggestion to anyone is to just stay away.

When you can, you too should make the move away from TB

    No Problems With Teleblend

I must admit the first couple of weeks after the conversion from Sunrocket to Teleblend, I was wondering if this Teleblend thing was really gonna work. There were times when the phone line didn't work, or callers received a "this phone is not in service" recording. But I thought I would give it some time, and I'm glad I did! Since those first two weeks, I have yet to have any problems with my service. I make calls whenever I want with no problem, and receive calls the same way. What more could ask for for $12.00 a month?

    I am happy for you...!!!

40 days without a working phone is a real pain in the a$%... When TB failed to respond to any of my logged tickets, it upset me. I called almost daily looking for status and was advised they they are working as fast as they can to resolve "my" issues. Some 35+ days into this, I was told that they just needed a bit more information so they could START working my problem. Remember, no one ever called, no one told me with each phone call that there was missing info. I provided my MAC addresses at least 3 times and it never seemed to get into my records...

The whole experience was just frustrating..

I now have one line back on Verizon copper and the second should be reconnected on Monday. That is 40 and 52 days respectively without working numbers...

I got squat for my $12.00 plus tax (15.71) but headaches....

    Here's a Teleblend Tale

Signed with Teleblend after the first 'we're going down" Sunrocket email - figured seamless transition would be a good thing. 2 days afterward, the virtual number we had for my wife's business, which is heavily dependent on phone calls to set appointments, stopped working completely. Needless to say my irritation with the sudden lack of any feature set at all paled in comparison to this. First CS call - "will be resolved in 48 to 72 hours". Second CS call 3 days later - "hmmm.... he didn't put any notes in the system..we're supposed to put notes in the system..it looks like someone removed your area code for this number..is that something you did?" Me - politely - "why the &@$ would I do that?" Left at "should be an easy fix - 48 to 72 hours". Blood pressure rising but decided to give them one last opportunity while watching my wife's cell bill go through the roof. Third - and last - CS call three days later - "might take up to 30 days to fix". After I not-so-calmly asked why I'd been told 48 to 72 hours by 2 different people in the past week how & why it could have suddenly morphed into 30 days, the rep actually got angry and said that the people dealing with these problems are working night & day, never leave the office, don't see their families, POW'S apparently. Perhaps all this should have been thought of before you people decided to take this task on, I asked? Why would you for one minute think any customer would care to hear about anything like that? What kind of customer service department is this? Silence..then click. Unbelievable.

I've since switched to VOIP.com, great company, great service.

PS on Teleblend - after my number was ported to VOIP & I advised them to cancel my service - I tried to log in to their "web site", was denied, & figured I was done with them forever - until I noticed the charge on my Discover Card. Somehow, someone there reactivated my account, enrolled me in their auto bill pay service, & charged me in early Sept. This is beyond the bounds of the comic ineptitude of a lousy company - it's fraud, plain & simple. Discover is investigating, & in the meantime I logged in to my mysteriously reopened account & sent 3 trouble tickets detailing the problem. All were summarily closed by Teleblend without response. The kicker (as if more is needed)? They charged my Discover Card AGAIN, just today.

Anyone reading this that's still with Teleblend, all I can say is, your day will come.

    Re: Here's a Teleblend Tale

Thanks for your tale. Very similar to mine although I did not try to go into detail as my entries would be volumes and not a few paragraphs.

After many many calls, my wife said that I must be doing something wrong and that she would now handle it. It only took one phone call for her to come back to say, she now knew what I was trying to tell her. The entire event was just one big mess. So glad I am no longer there.

Thanks for your replay, kind of brought back old memories.....

    Re: Teleblend to Voip.com

Out of the frying pan into the fire. You must be kidding about having satisfactory service with voip.com. While I agree that TB is a horrible service, at least they have an actual address and they have people working for them that have real names and titles.

Have you not read the scores of posts detailing the "truth" about voip.com. Their address is a drop box in a UPS store in Boca Raton FL. Their "related" corporate entities (of which there are many) are all of questionable authenticity and legitimacy. And their service appears, to 99% of responders, to be horrendous.

Your Experience May Vary! (If so, you may be just about the only one.)

When SunRocket went out, I wasn't sure who to go with and wanted to do some research first.

While researching, I found the admin password for my Linksys device. I was thrilled I could log in and change my setting. Unfortunately, I didn't change my password, because I didn't foresee TeleBlend purchasing SR's servers or info. Well, as most people know, TeleBlend changed the admin passwords for the devices. I see as them breaking into my house and changing the locks.

I called them, and they refuse to give it up, probably because they believe they'd lose custormers if people can reprogram their VOIP gizmos.

Well, my wife was jumping all over me for home service, and I felt that they had a good price for SR refugees, so even though I was pissed that they broke into my box and changed the password I signed up.

The service is CONSTANTLY dropping and their support is horrible.

I'm glad I went month to month.

AVOID TELEBLEND at all costs!!! I'm looking at ViaTalk or BroadVoice.

My biggest problem with TeleBlend is that they don't let you "call block" a partial phone number (less than 10 digits) so a particular collection agency passes a few bogus digits to get around the "Unknown" status and wants someone who does not live here. I will switch to any VoIP company that will let you block the number 1302.
