I cannot get DSL, so cable broadband is my only choice. Allegiance Communications charges $45.00 a month for a 3000/512 connection, With a 25gb monthly free usage and charges $3.00 a gb over that. Customer service is terrible, if you are talking internet they are clueless. It can take weeks to get service restored. Sometimes they tell you "we don't have internet service where you live" . I started with Charter HSI 8 years ago at this address, when Allegiance took over things got worse in all areas. They keep promising 6000/1000 connections but after 3 months nothing has changed. The bad part is that the monthly 25Gb cap will not change. If you can get DSL don't look twice at Allegiance.

You'll be paying about $1.40 for a gigabyte of data. You can call before hand to buy another 50gb for around $50 but as far as I know its $1 per gb you go over.... basically same thing.
I live in a military base, so I don't have a choice. Used to be Charter around here. Didn't mind charter but I guess they had lots of complaint so gave them the boot. Oh well... life goes on.
They have decent customer service. Speed seems consistent.
Anyways, Don't download too much. You will pay for it.

We have DSL here but we didn't want to go back into the whole big telephone thing. We're cellphone only.
We ordered 3000/512 at $30 a month.
The ordering process was easy enough over the phone. But they told us it would be 12 days before we would be turned on. I set my modem up and it was all ready. Come to find out all they needed all along was the MAC# and SER# off of the bottom of my modem. I was pretty miffed about that!
This is a small community of a few thousand. I think they're doing a really good job in light of that.
