Hello,
My name is Liz Hervatic and I've been a customer of LA Bridge for 11 years. The service through the years has been excellent. The customer service has been personal and timely. It is like I became part of the LA Bridge family and was treated as such. It is rare today to receive this type of service from a company that provides a broadband service. A special shout out to Dee; she is amazing - knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and gets a request completed quickly.
Overall a 5 star service at a great price.
Thank you for receiving my review.
Best wishes, Liz Hervatic

I have used LA Bridge for over four years for my DSL service in my office. They have been very consistent in their readily available customer service. Over the time, there have been only about 3 outages, all of which were quickly rectified. I have paid $40 per month, and there has been no increase in the charge over the years. I would highly recommend their service.

I've used LABridge for several years, first with Frame Relay/DSL modems (Fujitsu Orkits), now using FTAS (reselling Verizon FIOS). It's cheaper than Verizon's FIOS and LABridge doesn't result in the billing headaches that using Verizon does (migraines).
Good stuff.

I have been through these things before... some Microsoft "security" patch locking down my webserver or whatever... LABridge has always been right there, helpful and had me back online as immediately as is humanly (virtually?) possible.
Today Verizon changed my office IP address, which made my attempts to "remote desktop" to my webserver bounce off the firewall.
A quick IM exchange with LABridge, and 10 minutes of diagnosis and they had updated my firewall and I was online.
A few months back...
AOL started rejecting all the emails from the webserver. I IM'd and called them, and had the problem resolved rapidly - and this one even had to involve an up-stream provider!
LABridge is frequently available on IM, and as far as I can tell they don't even own a phone robot. THIS IS A GOOD THING. The phone rings, and then they answer it!

I was with LA Bridge for six years and they are the only ISP that knows me by name, instant messages me, knows what car I drive, and take me on their yacht cruise. Talk about personal service!

$40 per month about 1 days Verizon (ex GTE) "Light years better than my old ISP. Fantastic customer support (Dee you are the best)!" "None" "I like the little guy (and hate Verizon)... Best ISP/DSL experience I have ever had."

After using another small SoCal ISP from 1999 (during the GTE days... hated them too) until the end of 2006, I had had enough of what I was getting and knew it was time for a change. Talked to Dee at L A Bridge. What a delight. She had me converted from resale to wholesale and converted to L A Bridge in one day. Perfect!
I saved $16 per month and doubled my speed in the bargain.
This company knows the meaning of "customer service". I could not be more happy (unless they decided to give me DSL for free... or better yet, pay me to use their service).
PS, these guys every offered to cut me over from from frame relay to ATM (and again double my speed in the process) at no increase in fee. Can't beat that with a stick!

I was an Anet customer for many years in fact I was one of the first customers at Anet. When they sold the co-location business to L.A. Bridge, we went from what was regarded as the best local co-location service available to absolutely the worst.
The billing has NEVER been correct from day one, the customer service is absolutely the worst! The reps haven't got a clue about which way is up - most have terrible english - and management absolutely refuses to get on the telephone to resolve disputes with clients. If you don't want to use Yahoo IM or AOL AIM - then they don't want to talk to you.
I gave it a year before making a change. That is a fair time to evaluate any service. I would strongly suggest DSL user to try DSL Extreme or another service. For those looking for a co-location provider - don't even consider this place, as I suspect they will be out of business soon.

I am a loooong time LA Bridge customer--had them since 1999. I used to think they were absolutely the bomb and recommended them to others--but no more. The reviews above were very accurate but as you can see, none are recent. In the last year, there have been some very negative changes at LA Bridge. Tech support seems to be outsourced--although they deny it--everyone sounds like they are in India or someplace. They are also rude, which is inexcusable. It used to be you would get helpful and knowldgable tech support people--now they are just script-readers like Verizon, AOL, etc.
The reliability of the service has also gone down. Spam has increased many times over, because LA Bridge cheaped out and went to an inferior spam blocking system--the one they used to use with Postini was *much* more accurate. During this time of transistion, the spam just poured in. We were promised new larger mailboxes to make up for the mess, but that was never followed through on.
In the last month, email has become less reliable--and I am paying extra now to have only email through them, as I switched to cable broadband. I need a reliable email provider for my business, and wanted to keep my address. There have been several email outages--we are now in hour 20 of the latest one. Its Saturday, and a holiday weekend, and I am guessing we wont see anything until Tuesday. I called last night and was told exactly nothing about when the service would be back up. That is not acceptable. I am cancelling my account today.

This small, Marina Del Rey-based ISP really goes the extra mile to accomodate the needs of it's customers.
After years on dial-up, I really needed to get on proper DSL to start my business. I couldn't get a straight answer from the cable internet folks on exactly what bandwidth I would get, or even what the price actually was, or static IP, etc., and had all sorts of strange restrictions on what I could run on my end. Yahoo DSL wasn't much better.
But the LA Bridge folks knew exactly what they were talking about and were willing to work with me to get a deal that would serve the needs of my business. Ordering was very easy. The modem (Westell Infospeed with a Bell Atlantic logo) arrived in just 5 days. Once I got it, the install was trivial: I got the modem, plugged it in, and I was online!
The few times I've needed technical support, I've found them to be very quick to respond, very knowledgable, and incredibly easy to deal with. Dee set me straight very quiclky.
The entire time I've had the connection running, it's never gone down even once, and I've never had any slowdown at all. If anything, the connection seems better than the connection on my old company's T1 LAN!
Now, my setup is pretty standard for a small business (static IP on DSL with four machines off a single hub), but I understand they are willing to provide some pretty specialized tailored services, such as wireless internet for people living on yachts in the harbor in Marina Del Rey. Also, I was pleased to hear that they are actually supplying special packages for a number of charitable organizations. I'm much happier dealing with a company that has a concience!
In all, a real class act. I'm very impressed!

La Bridge Internet & DSL has provided the best customer service that I have ever experienced with an ISP. Dee is great and sent one of the nicest and most detailed e-mail regarding a problem that we had with a technical issue. Needless to say, the problem was solved in now time.
