LA Bridge Internet and DSL has always been and continues to be very helpful
to our business. The DSL lines and service they deploy for our customers
    is 2nd to none.

They have always treated our customers well, and we have 10 DSL lines with
them currently. All fairly priced and service is good.

I just wanted to take a moment to say how tremendously pleased i have been
with the service LA Bridge has provided for many years. They are an
excellent, caring ISP with tremendous customer service. If i qualified for
dsl in Pac Bell territory i would certainly stay with them. They are an
excellent ISP, and i recommend them highly!

I always manage to speak with a human being, instead of being put on hold
for interminable periods of time. I cannot say enough good things about LA
Bridge. If you can get dsl or dial up with them, you can't go wrong.

Note: I was unable to order dsl with LA Bridge because i am too far from Pac Bell's dsl office. My ratings apply to my experience with them over many years as a dial up provider.

for the past year i have used LABridge.com in santa monica ca as my dsl
    isp (dsl service from verizon).

LABridge gave me excellent service. they responded quickly when i had
problems; they held my hand when i only thought i had problems. they
always kept me abreast of their own problems, either local or upstream.
    they did not use voicemail.

most important they were human, they had a sense of humor, they always
treated me like a person and not merely a customer. a great bunch.

In a word - Excellent! It's like a dream after the nightmare of Earthlink. I was with 2 other ISPs before I found L A Bridge. First I had 256k/64k, then upgraded to 768k/128k. They coordinated it all for me. 2 static IPs., email, web space, 20hrs PPP free dial up and global roaming. Fast, secure connection (NO PPPOE!); helped me set up and grow my home office network and VPN; still able to help when I switched to wireless network. Always notified in advance about network maintenance, pending virus/worm issues etc.. Lots of services for the money.

I've been with LABridge for about 2 years now and have only had to call twice when I experienced a connection problem, they called back an hour later and informed me that the service was back up and apologized for any inconvenience. They even went as far as explaining why service was interrupted. I've even recommended them to other friends/clients and they have been really happy .

I had to find a service to replace Flashcom, which went into chapter 11 a few months ago. Since I am out of the country six months of each year, I needed to find a contract that could be renewed or cancelled monthly. I found this with LA-Bridge, working with Verizon. The service at LA-Bridge could not have been better: informed, attentive, available and highly competent. I will be moving from LA to Chicago next year, and I regret therefore only being able to stay with them a few months -- because of their excellent service, both administratively and technically. Highly recommended!

Data: I subscribed for 760kb/s download, 2nd cheapest rate, at $40 monthly plus Verizon at $45. Dynamic IP, Fujitsu DSL modem (used by Verizon), which I bought myself on Ebay.

"Mac based ISP--so nice to not have to apologise for my OS!"
"Small company so tech support is not always available"
"A reliable and fast ISP"
Pre Sales information:
Install Co-ordination:
Connection reliability:
Tech Support:

Value for money:

I have used LA Bridge for about 10 months now. They are a Mac-based ISP (all their servers are Mac OS) and that really appealed to me. I get so tired of the anti-Mac diatribe I get from tech support at various places (like an auto mechanic telling his clients, "you have a Ford and I dont like Fords so I don't want to help you and you are an idiot for buying one").

But the bottom line with DSL is the service. I am up and running 99.9% of the time. I get good speeds (I have Bronze Plus which is supposedly 768 up) and usually have around 500 up, though it has crept a bit higher and lower at times. That seems better than average, so I cannot complain there.

The install coordiation was horrendous because I was transferring from another ISP (who had serious pipeline problems upstream) and it was just a run around nightmare with GTE. I think most of the blame lies with GTE, and we wont even go there with the screw ups they have foisted upon me.

Tech support could be better. They are hard to reach, because there is not always someone physically there to take the calls. However, they are knowledgeable when you do reach them. Its aggravating when the server/router/whatever DOES go down and you don't know if they know it has!

They are a bit expensive... I pay GTE/Verizon $39.00 and then another $24 to LA Bridge. But because the connection is very reliable, its worth it. There are cheaper out there, but you get what you pay for!

You receive a dynamic IP, and GTE's Orkit Modem.

    I would recommend them!

Santa Monica,Los Angeles,CA
$168 per month (month by month)
Verizon (ex GTE)
"So far so good"
Pre Sales information:
Install Co-ordination:
Connection reliability:
Value for money:

I live in Santa Monica, CA and I recently signed up for DSL Service
with L A Bridge after I found them on DSL Reports. They are not the
cheapest provider out there for the low end lines, but they have the
best offers I found for Gold and Platinum levels of service. They
were also the only ISP I spoke with that would give me two static IPs
and allow me to run my own mail server at no additional cost. If I
grow my operation I can upgrade to a package of 8 static IPs and
ability to run any publicly accessible servers, advantages that other
ISPs would only give me if I signed up for a T1 connection.

Other advantages that helped me decide for them were the 20 hours of
free local dial up connection and the ability to connect to their
network through an international roaming service that they offer with
Pops literally everywhere in the world that I will be trying soon.
Ask your ISP if they have iPass. This is the first time an ISP offers
me the ability to be online in India, where I have to go sometimes
for work and it is very hard to get connected.

I am posting this review today because I am happy with the service
and how they accommodated to my needs. I will post another review if
they don't keep up with the good work. If you don't find a newer
review here you should consider L A Bridge for your DSL Service too.
    Good luck finding an ISP!!
