I got iTalkBB for over two years now.
The $30 plan features unlimited calls to China (both mobile and landline), and the user can give their Chinese relatives a special number to call back and would be the same cost as a local call to them.
The service also works for Taiwan, but unlimited calling only works for calling landlines in Taiwan. Calling Taiwanese cellphones still cost about a dime per minute.
The website is pretty intuitive so the customer can keep track of phone records and special functions such as assigning a special number for your cellphone to use the service.
The company frequently runs ads in Chinese newspapers and the web. Now they are giving out free Chinese IPTV service.
Call quality and video quality isn't top notch but gets the job done.

$16 per month about 365 days "Very cheap, very affordable high quality phone service" "Having tech support in Asia doesn't seem to help... Bad international lines and quality too... Relies on internet access" "If your teksavvy enough you wouldn't worry about the tech support"

My dad got this voip and cancelled his bell home phone and we've been using it for years... In fact he just went and bought some for his other family members (ON HIS CREDIT CARD!) so they can call via voip at a low cost with unlimited usage.
Rather than paying around over $25 a month, we're paying roughly $16 dollars a month.
UPDATE: It's best if your internet connection is fast enough otherwise quality will suffer. My cable internet is like 24Mbps downstream and 1Mbps upstream but we hit issues mainly because our upstream could be bottlenecked from internet use by family members so when we try to call, the other end would not be able to understand us because the upstream got cut off.

about 2 days "Easy to use, inexpensive, and reliable phone service" "tech support is spotty, but if you speak Chinese they are very nice" "You get more than what you pay for"

Compared to Bell, Rogers, Primus, etc., this service costs less than half with all the features. It's targetted for overseas Chinese to keep in touch with relatives back in China/Taiwan/HK.
I went to the store and got the box in 15 minutes. At home, I plugged it in and can make outbound calls right away.
The incoming phone number did not work for 2 days. After 3-4 support calls, it was switched to a different number, which worked after a few hours.
Tech Support is very nice and courteous, but they speak little English and cannot spell NETGEAR or LINKSYS. Again it's geared for Chinese-speaking customers.
So far so good for about one week.

I believe iTalkBB is the best company if you are Chinese or Korean. They have both Chinese and Korean support. It appears English support is not very good according to other reviews, but since I never used English support I cannot comment on that.
iTalkBB was the cheapest company with reasonable voice quality. Music that plays when you are put on hold tends to break up, but has no problem hearing voice calls.
Their website layout is some what confusing and does not allow you to log-in by user name. You have to enter BB# which basically is your phone number with in iTalkBB system and also your account number. (Not your local phone number).
There is no features like call filtering, voice quality selection, call hunting. Voice mail is very hard to use. You have to dial 214-379-1195 to access their voice mail system. Not a simple number like most other companies. Also, the recording is in the system only for 24 hours. This may not be a problem if you don't use phone to access voice mail, since they also mail recording to your E-mail.
Unlimited calls 27 countries (land line only for countries that charge more for mobile phone calls).
They have referral program and you will receive 100 points (which is equal to $1) per month and 500 points ($5) one time credit for each person you refer. They also do special promotions time to time (at least on Korean plan). The last promotion I got was 3 months free for referring 2 people.
This makes their service very cheap if you refer enough friends.
Installation was straight forward as with most other voip companies.

$19 per month about 9 days "Cheap, reliable, easy to setup. Great sound quality" "Tech support is hard to understand" "One of the better VoIPs, 30 day money back guarantee, no reason not to try them!"

So far the only problem I had was canceling one of the 2 accounts I ordered. The # they give to call to cancel is an automated voice... which has no option for cancelations, or customer support. I had to speak to a Tech support agent... who barely spoke any English at all (seeing as how this is a Chinese VoIP company...kind of expected) They transfered me to a mandarin only agent at first, and I had to call back in to get an English speaker again... If your one of the people always calling tech support, and dont know Mandarin, might want to stay away.
Voice quality has been good. I've been using it to call China and USA a lot, I heard a clicking a few times... and once when someone called me my voice echoed for the whole call (But they were in China on a cell phone...so I kind of suspect it was that).
I've had no missed calls, it comes with all the nice needed features (Not sure if it has virtual #'s though).
Overall... it's a really nice VoIP provider. One of the best I tried so far.

The service is not as refined as Vonage, but the call quality is very good. I never have service interruptions. With the unlimited plan you receive a toll free number with which people from Asia can call for free, and your calls to most countries in Asia are free.
