I have a 1Meg/down, 0.5Meg/up service from Cable Onda. The service runs about $22/month. On top of that is a cable modem rental charge. I am not sure if it is possible to bring your own device (cable modem). The connection provides reliable speeds at the advertised rates. (However, due to recent storms that knocked out some the telecom infrastruction, recent connection speeds have been problematic with lots of packet loss. Cable Onda is working on replacing the downed lines, etc.) It is difficult to get action from web site queries.
Update:
Cable Onda continues to provide decent Internet connectivity for parts of Panama. The service is reliable, if not tremendously fast. I suspect their backhaul for my little village is maxed-out at times: late afternoon/early evening (popular Internet useage times), I have problems getting consistent speeds. Late at night the speeds are always consistent with the provisioned rates.
