Serving: Jackson, Michigan ZipArea codes 49201, 49202, 49254, and possibly others
A small "mom & pop" ISP. They provide local Dial-Up, DSL, and "High Speed Wireless".
Their "High Speed Wireless" access consists of a fixed dish attached to your home, often on a small tower. This points to one of several access points in the area, located on tall buildings and water towers. This allows them to provide service to areas not served by cable or DSL providers. In some cases, they are the only high speed ISP available.
The speeds for this wireless access is advertised as "1mbps plus in both directions". In reality speeds are closer to 200-300kbps, with noticable performance drops during the day. There are no bandwidth caps advertised, however if you pull more than 35kb sustained, they will completely turn off your internet access. In such cases, sometimes they call to let you know, sometimes they don't.
Support is available during working hours only. If the issue is technical in nature, you will often have to wait for the 1 technical person to return to the office.
Price is $39.95 per month, with discounts for long-term customers.
