We moved from Wildblue service to IBEC BPL service in hopes that BPL would =
be an excellent change in pace. However=2C the change in pace was a move t=
o the worst. Wildblue was absolutely terrible=2C with their "dial-up speed=
"=2C and the service lagging-out daily. I thought the change from Wildblue=
to IBEC BPL could only be good=2C but I was terribly wrong.

We ordered the IBEC BPL service in early November=2C and being it was new t=
o our area=2C it took nearly a month for everyone to come out and setup eve=
rything needed for service. By the beginning of December=2C we were up and=
running. The speed is about twice as fast as Wildblue service=2C but it'l=
l lag-out atleast 20 times per day. When I say 20 times=2C I'm not exagger=
ating=2C atleast 20 times! I'll look down at my router=2C and probably 60-=
70% of the time=2C it's showing no service. I thought it was a failing rou=
ter=2C and purchased a new one. The new one is doing the exact same thing.

I called IBEC=2C and they state=2C "While our service is a constant connect=
ion=2C it will cut out when your electricity spikes." Unfortunately=2C if =
you know anything about electricity=2C it spikes constantly throughout the =
day=2C which is the reason we all have fuse boxes in our homes.

When all is said and done=2C after about $150 worth of installation gear=2C=
and two months of headaches=2C I'm about done with this "experimental proj=
ect" they call Broadband-Over-Powerlines. While IBEC does claim they offer=
a constant connection=2C they will ALWAYS blame the electric company as th=
e reason their services constantly lag-out. In fact=2C it may be the elect=
ric company=2C but when all is said and done=2C customers need to be made a=
ware of the issue BEFORE paying for installation and setup=2C and they need=
to quit advertising a "constant connection"=2C when in all reality=2C it's=
not possible at all.

That being said=2C we're probably taking business back to Wildblue. I'd ra=
ther have a somewhat reliable connection=2C as opposed to this headache (IB=
EC BPL)=2C that rarely works.
