Static IP address already in place ( PPOE / Static ). Made use of there online utility to update my DNS records ( they also host my domain ). Total down time 2hrs!!!!! "Installed in 2 weeks! Get the advertised bandwidth and no contract." "News server currently isn't working" "Installed DSL where MV Communications couldn't and it rocks"

I ordered a 768/128K ADSL service being offered through promotion (before Verizon announced availability) for 29.95 first 3 months 49.95/month thereafter. I was supprised 2 weeks later when the UPS guy dropped the DSL modem (install kit with filters and PPPoE software).
When I finally got to plug in the modem the lights lit up then died. I had a faulty power supply. Due to the Customer Service office being local I was able to replace the modem and power supply the next day without problem. Got home plugged it in and off it went.
I actually get better upstream performance than advertised (arround 135 Kbps) and very close to the 768 K downstream. All in all the Net1Plus customer service has been awesome. I haven't had to wait on the line once trying to resolve a problem (dead modem PPPoE authentication server problem).
Currently I am only dealing with a NNTP (Usenet) news server problem that will more than likely be resolved tommorow morning when support is back from christmas.
NNTP Problem was resolved a couple weeks ago. Net1Plus is now using GigaNews Servers for its news. Unfortunately they have placed a 2GB/month bandwidth limit on Usenet news. This is unfortunate since the service was supposed to be unlimited when I joined.

$55 per month- (12 month contract)
about 160 days Verizon- CLEC party: NorthPoint
"Installation was quick & easy. SDSL is running at 330K to 400K" "Verizon limitations resulted in order being delayed from July 1st to December 1st" "I am happy, measured distance is 17,700'. Line quality is good."

SDSL, with static IP. $55/month. I turn off PC whenever not using. It appears that SDSL line is monitored and after 12 hours of inactivity, SDSL modem/line does not respond. Requires pulling dc power from modem to re-connect communications. If I leave PC on 24hrs, then Have no problem. Have had a few minor occasions when lost communications, usually just power modem off then and on and resumes connection. Couple of times, lost connection for any where from 10 to 120 minutes, then resumed sucessfully. Been using sucessfully since Dec 8th.

Please disregard this review.
It was submitted in error. The review was for a service provider named Network Plus. It was inadvertantly applied to net1plus.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
