Switched from Bell to Eyesurf almost a year ago now.. Service has been stable. I am in Kitchener - Waterloo. As others have mentioned on this site, they have their own equipment in KW, which is limited to specific areas. They actually posted a map on their site of their coverage area for "VIP" customers.... If you fall within their VIP footprint, this deal is great... You get unlimited DSL (10mb) with POTS phone for $50 + tax... When I signed up originally, I was paying $55 + tax, but they lowered the price for all new and existing customer's which was pretty cool

Note: This deal seems to be very limited in where it can be offered, so it is only a good deal for people who live in Kitchener - Waterloo and selected areas at that. They seem to resell Bell and Rogers for other areas.

My experience with Eyesurf from jan 2011 till now, late Oct 2012, has been nothing less than stellar. I have their high-speed Internet and real ( not VOIP) phone line. Call quality has always been perfect and the DSL connection more than adequate. Certainly as good as anything I ever experienced with Bell or Rogers.

Service the few times I had reason to call them was always courteous and well informed. The big kicker is price. Less than 1/2 what I was paying to Bell but with unlimited Internet and long distance. I'm a huge fan of this company.

Moving to London and I can see it'll be hard to replace them.

Not on Bell GAS, ADSL2, Unlimited data

If you can get it, and don't want the higher speeds of cable, its a good value for DSL

I switched to them while waiting for TSI cable since I could no longer handle the slow GAS speeds and the upcoming threat of UBB, and I am extremely satisfied with them as a DSL provider. They are using Fibernetics, which limits them to certain parts of KW, and I am not getting the full 10mbit, (getting maybe 6 due to distance), but it has been pretty much solid (Only one outage so far, and when I emailed them they informed me they were aware, and also emailed me back when it was fixed). And for the extra $5 bucks or so, I just got the phone instead of going with a dry loop.

Not really worth getting it on contract since all you really save is some install fees. Installation went smoothly, only downtime between the old connection and new connection was when the line was switched to Fibernetics from GAS but that was just a matter of not having the login until the tech came by.

They were responsive to my questions before I signed up, often replying to my emails within hours of me sending them.

If you want DSL over cable, and can get them I would strongly recommend them. (I am even considering if I should keep it as a backup to the cable connection when I do get it.)

Isn't it congested?

I am on Fibernetics in Waterloo steps away from the CO and my peak time speeds are 1.5-2 Mbps.

Are you on the Water Street one or the Albert St one? I'm on Water which probably makes a difference.

I am on Albert. I thought their whole network is congested. I've heard similar complaints from Kitchener.

This internet service is recommended only for those who live close enough to one of Bell's COs in Kitchener/Waterloo. (i.e. Downtown Corridor)

CSR for Eyesurf.

Their CSR's are in India not Canada. It's a nightmare to even talk to them.

Re: "If you can get Fibernetics ADSL2+ this is the way to g

Hi trainwreck,

I live downtown Kitchener, right next to the Bus Terminal, so I am assuming this would be a good location (ie. close to CO's), correct? And if so, does that mean I will be able to get Fibernetics ADSL2+ ? Finally are you confident that it is truly unlimited? And what is that Look guy talking about when he says the customer Service is from India? And one more thing, is Eyesurf just on dry loop (I 'm guessing they are so as to avoid piggy backing on Bell's line). I ask this question because I have a land-line which would become inoperable with dry loop, correct?Sorry for so many questions, but I would like to switch from Teksavvy before March 1st UBB kicks in. Thanks trainwreck.

Re: CSR for Eyesurf.

I taught that first but the background conversations where also all Indian operators so I doubt that they operate from K-W or even anywhere in Canada.

Re: CSR for Eyesurf.

I am a current customer near the bus terminal, and I get 13 Mbps down and 0.75 Mbps up. Whenever I call Eyesurf, Randy answers on ring 2 or 3: definitely not a call centre and definitely not overseas.

Re: CSR for Eyesurf.

What is your overall experience with this company: speed, disconnections? I'm also at downtown of Kitchener near a bus terminal, and thinking to switch from Rogers to Eyesurf.
