I have had trouble finding any RECENT review for this company so I had to post on Kijiji and ask for a review so to help others I thought I would add their review here. I have had trouble contacting this company as others have stated as well.

Review 1: I have had them for a couple years. Good part is they are cheap and unlimited download. Bad is they have occasional unexplained outages, you can never contact anyone, couple hundred dollar initial set up.

Review 2: DO NOT USE THEM!!! I am paying for an 8 mbps package, and am lucky to get 4 mbps. I have called as well as emailed them well over 50 times in the last year, with NOTHING resolved except 1 month free Internet.

Review 3: Hi: I live out in the country so I a very limited access to the internet. I have been with wisp for approx. a year and had no problems with them. Plus there price is good. Hopefully this will help.

Review 4: We have had them from sept. 2013, except for problem in dec 2014 took about a month for them to solve a problem with tower at Bewdley, where we had internet but could not stream movies without it buffering about 10 x a minute. Seems to be working better now but still have some time of day isues where we did'nt have before, but seems to be improving.

Review 5: I like them kinda spotty service sometimes but good overall

Review 6: hello, we have had wisp since October, we couldn't get a strong enough signal through xplornet. Wisp seems ok, we can stream Netflix, shomi etc. without issue and my kids play online games. We choose the turbo package in ensure we had enough speed. Price seems ok considering our options, and we have not had any issues with billing.

i pay 80$ a month for 8megs which i get probably when im not home and nobody else is using the service.. but from 6pm to midnight im lucky to pull over 2megs with 400ms ping and cant even stream SD content or game online.. i call tech support and they ignore the problem and say im the only customer with this problem and everyone is satisfied with the service but me lol.. what a joke this company is !!! I cant believe this company is aloud to get away with murder like this.. like im paying full price but recieving 1/8th of the speed im supposed to get !!!

I can appreciate that you are having problems with your service sir, And i respect that you have the right to be frustrated. That said i would like to ask that you contact our support department so that we can attempt to resolve your issues. WISP offers 24 / 7 Technical support and is here to help you day or night with any problem you might have.

We did indeed have some speed related issues in the evening hours for a period of about 3 weeks due to the failure of one of our primary back-haul links. This failure impacted our overall network capacity, and we compensated for this as best we could to ensure that our clients were impacted as little as possible. This issue has now been resolved for several weeks and your service should be back to 100%.

If for any reason this is not the case, we want to know sir. Please contact us directly at our toll free number 877 - 955 - 9477 and select option 3 for tech support.

Also please note that WISP is always looking to take care of our clients. Your service should not have been impacted as badly as you say, but if it was, we would most certainly want to hear from you, and our billing department is always willing to look at these situations and issue credits where appropriate.

We have used Wisp-on- line with no problems for approximately 2 years. This company was the only one to offer
us high speed, Bell and Rogers would not as we live rurally. We had no installation difficulties or billing irregularities.
When we have experienced an outage, we report right away and service is usually already in progress. Any new small
company has hiccups along the way but we have not experienced any here. Happy with our Wisp service.

Sounds good when you are signing up but quickly turns horrific.
Horrible pre sales information, long drawn out install process, bad support and horrible connection reliability.

Avoid Wisp Online / Wisp internet Services at all costs, they are one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with, they will tell you anything to get you to go with them and then leave you high and dry.

They have:
-Horrible installation (They really have no idea what they are doing and it shows as the process is long and drawn out as they try to get your service to work. They won't show up for calls or show up late.)
-Horrible service (Goes in and out constantly and will go out for days and is not anywhere near what they claim when they sell you the service. Horrible connection reliability)
-Horrible support (Won't answer calls, won't get back to you.)

With Wisp Online / Wisp internet Services they claim to have live support 7 days a week and 98% of the time you will get a voicemail box and they will never return your call and they will not show up at all to a service call or show up late.

They will also tell you about the 30 day money back guarantee after the fact.

Don't go with Wisp Online , you will regret it. Do a search online and you can find numerous complaints and issues which are exactly how Wisp Online operates.

I too was taken in by Wisp internet Bowmanville. The cost to hook it up was crazy but to help with that cost was told 3 months for free.. Well there were no months for free... and guess what it does work most of the time.. they do not answer there phone do not come to see if it can be fixed...if you do get to talk to someone oh how they will help you, but you never see or hear from them, except when the payment comes out. well i guess its time to call my credit card company to stop that, and except the fact that this was nothing but a big rip off
