forgive me for my grammer english is not my strong suite.

I would also like to state I went to itt tech in 2004 for computer networking so I have a little idea about what im about to talk about.

I have had windstream for roughly 5-6 months and subscribed for the 200mbps at 65.00 a month with first month free and then a 99.00 credit the second month so initially 2 months for free? The tech came out next day and got everything wired up. He had to run a new line from outside into the house. The tech had issues getting the speed we needed, around i think 60mbps down hard lined and 20mbps down on a 5ghz frequency wireless. This was not acceptable but the tech could not get it any better and suggested i just got a slower speed, blamed the slow speeds on my equipment. So say the less the visit did not go friendly and i asked him to leave my house. I called and got a new tech to come out a couple days later, after arguing with him about it not being on my end but something on windstreams side we eventually ruled out i was correct. at this point i was getting around 30-80 mbps down hard lined and around 25 wireless. The tech said he was going to go check some things and call some other techs and look on their end to see whats wrong. After multiple visits and techs not showing up when they were supposed to i decided to let it go and run with the slow speeds and not pay my bill. After months they finally got back to me bc they were going to shut my service off bc i had not paid.

After explaining my situation the the lady i agreed to pay around 130.00 to reconnect my internet and she said for my troubles she was going to give me a lower rate around 60.00 a month for 200 megs and some credit to my next bill, also to make sure a tech got out here and got the problem fixed. Well that never happened. Finally i got a tech out here and got some more run around and was going to get this figured out, long story short still no resolution. After this windstream basically wrote me off and ignored my tickets and would close them before the tech would come out.

I forgot to mention i started documenting everything the first week into having these problems. I kept tickets dates numbers, email, pictures of all my speed tests ect. Oh did i mention my bill is 112.00 a month when i was told it would be 60 with some taxes so make it an even 75.00 a month roughly. After contacting the FCC and getting them involved windstream finally started working with me again within the past few weeks this being 3/3/2020 and sent out new techs. They were very professional and were baffled by everything i told them and worked very hard to fix my problem. They did end up finding some things wrong on their end and fixed it ending up with my being able to get about 100-145 mbps hard lined but not any faster on the wireless. They apologized many times for not being able to figure it out and we all came upon the conclusion that the windstream router may not be able to handle those kinds of speed on a wireless connection. Though we were able to get my speed up to 30-40 mbps running my tp link router through the windstream router. The apologized again and even offered to run hard lines through my house. I told them no i didnt want them doing that when i should be getting the right speeds. the website claims a spread of 145-250mbps i believe i have never came close to that. so this has been a few days ago and new my internet has dropped down to 7-10mbps out of no where, so i called tech support and long story short told me there was nothing wrong on their end so theres nothing they can do and if they send out a tech that i would be charged for that. well lets say I have techs coming tomorrow that now me pretty well and we will see if windstream tries to charge me for a service call. *im sure they will*

I have also talked to many other people that have the exact same problem so my guess in this is known by the company and most people in small towns dont understand how to test their internet connection or realize they are being blindly robbed.

well off to bed to see the techs in the morning.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND WINDSTREAM TO ANYONE! I have complete intentions of reviewing this company on every website and giving all the documentation I have on them as soon as the end result comes. Also i have been keeping in contact with the FCC so i will forward everything to them as well.

I hope some of you are actually getting good service and not treated like this. ** I also live in omaha ne and have gigabyte internet and i can pull 850mbps plus on my wireless through my phone, so here should be no excuse as to why i am having these speeds. I say this because they at first every call want to know how many devices are hooked up and that could be the reason.

if any of you have this problem or something similar please message me or email me @ alans1986@hotmail.com I would love to hear how many people if any have this exact same problem!

I also noticed after submitting this appeared

We have been a customer for over 8 years and were very happy with Wind Wireless up until approx. six months ago. The bandwidth has slowly became erratic and very slow. After many calls complaining about the speed, resetting of routers and rebooting all electronics plus one home service call from the service man from Wind Wireless it has become very apparent that Chuck has oversold this node or transmitter. They are using old 2.5MHZ technology which will not keep up with the demands on the transmitter. My bandwidth which was agreed upon when I purchased their service was 5 Meg bandwith for $49.00 per Month, as of this morning using Speedtest, net the download speed was 50 Kb and upload failed ping was 250 ms. Chuck no longer returns my calls or texts. I would not recommend this service until they invest in new 5 MHZ equipment. If the monthly charge were to be prorated per amount of bandwidth I should only be paying 50 cents per Month and quite frankly it is not even worth that at this point.

Air-Pipe was zero connectivity every time Mt Spokane had freezing rain or a cloud rolled by.
Ordered residential package from Wind Wireless for 49.95.
Chuck showed up 2 days later, took some signal readings, handed me the hardware which I self installed and was up and running within 2 hrs.
These guys also install for 175.00 and you own the equipment!

We are approx 1/4 mile from the AP and are using the NanoStation2.

Have not had any bad experiences, no problems even in adverse weather.
Great service, they email a statement monthly and accept electronic payment methods

I ran a speed test at speedtest.net and had the following results;
Ping 7 ms
Download 3.42 mb/s
Upload 1.87 mb/s
