They brought in a T1 and after the analog lines we have 700kbps up and down. We have 12 Cisco phones and when in use they do bring us down a little, but we have a load failover/balancer that keeps us online using Cox HSI for most of our internet use.

T-1

Regardless if they were in the T1 business; they purchased a contract from a company they bought out; they'd have to honor that contract.

Re: T-1

Sorry, they did not install the T1, it was done through Verizon. Nationsline provided the Adtran that split the T1 into 11 PSTN lines and the rest of the T1 as data. Either way, we don't use them for that any longer. Nationsline, now 1point communications is only providing us with hosted PBX.

Re: T-1

you don't get how a contract works do you? and i'm not trying to be mean or anything. Regardless of who installs it- the person that you signed the contract with/who you ordered it from is the company that supplies the actual connectivity for it and thus is bound by that contract- regardless if they were bought out or sold. The new company still has to honor that contract. Even if VZ or ATT installed it. You order the T1 from a reseller/CLEC and that provider is obligated to service it.
