Ordered 384/128 ADSL. Was impressed with sales person's knowledge of technical issues. Ordering process was quick and painless. Install took ~2.5 months, but this is completely attributable to Bell Atlantic's order screw ups, not anything with the ISP. I keep my PC on all the time, and it runs daemons that require constant connectivity - and if connectivity is lost I'll see it in my syslog. In the four months or so that my circuit has been turned up, I've seen nothing to indicate that the connection has ever gone down... not even a hicup. Throughput is consistently as advertised. 0% packet loss across NAP routers in the evenings and wee hours. Sometimes I see an occasional loss of 1 or 2 or 3% in the afternoon - nothing that noticably affects application performance - Just happened to notice it because I am ping happy on occasion. So Tellurian gets a clean network bill of health. The staff (billing, tech support, network engineers) are extremely customer-service focused. The few times I've had to deal with them they've resolved issues quickly and to my satisfaction.
I'm trying to think of any bad experiences I've had so far, and nothing really comes to mind, other than dealing with Bell Atlantic.

My home ADSL (384/128) service is provided by Tellurian Networks (Newton, NJ). I've been using my connection for about 2 weeks now. The entire experience from initial contact through final installation and my brief use has been totally positive.
I first contacted Tellurian in early January after going through a very frustrating and aborted attempt to set up ADSL through another (California-based national) ISP. After being given the run-around for over 4 months, I almost gave up hope of getting DSL service in my area. Then I discovered Tellurian and within a matter of weeks, I had my line up and running. (Much of that time was in waiting for Bell Atlantic to provision the circuit and for Covad to complete the in-home setup and test).
When looking for a new DSL provider, I used dslreports.com to quickly view all potential choices in my area and select the most appropriate one. I located Tellurian as a NorthPoint DSL Partner. My thanks to dslreports.com for making this task so easy.
From the first time I spoke with Janis in Sales, all my questions were answered in a very professional and courteous manner. We discussed all pricing and bandwidth options and settled on the 384/128 service with an option to upgrade to 768/384 at a later time. All my questions regarding the Tellurian network (connection, reliability, etc.) were answered while I was on the phone. No need for callbacks to handle unanswered questions. This was a real plus. Within 15 minutes we were finalizing the details and going over the step-by-step installation process. Within 2 weeks I received a phone call from Covad informing me of 2 scheduled appointments 1 week apart. The first was for Bell Atlantic to run the line to my home telephone box. The second was for Covad to complete the in-home DSL Modem setup with my PC and test it through Tellurian's network. Both appointments were confirmed the day before and were completed right on schedule. Bell Atlantic simply let me know they were there and completed their work. Covad sent a very knowledgeable 2-person team that completed the setup in about 1 hour. The only hitch was a dead DSL modem. After getting a second one from the truck (that's why they bring extras), the line came up and 'synched' with Tellurian as advertised. It couldn't have been smoother.
The next day I contacted Tellurian to finalize the automated billing charges (credit card) which were handled promptly by Janis.
Although I've been using service only 2 weeks, there has been no time when the connection has been down. I've heard many horror stories of other ISP's service interruptions occurring routinely 3 or more times a week. Hopefully, this is a sign of good things to come from Tellurian
Just another note: I've been similarly impressed with the help I've received from the Tellurian Tech Support Dept. (particularly Sean) in fielding my tech questions.
In summary, based on my experience so far, Tellurian's combination of affordable service, outstanding Customer Service and Tech Support will be hard to beat. I look forward to a long relationship with Tellurian.
Thanks for all your help.

A terrific ISP (www.Tellurian.net) is offering both residential and business DSL in parts of New Jersey.
When I used DSL Reports' search for my location (Sparta, NJ -- 07871 -- 973-729-xxxx), it showed no service available.
I've had the service for nearly a week and am, thus far, ecstatic.
Thought you should know.

Note: Expensive if one has the misfortune to live in my neck of the woods (Sparta, NJ) in which Sprint (formerly United Telephone) provides local phone service. This is because nobody else is selling DSL in that service area and Tellurian has made the investment in its own equipment, since it can't resell someone else's service. I, for one, am grateful to be able to get the service at all, regardless of price, though I hope the price eventually comes down, after Tellurian recaptures its sunk costs.
