I mentioned the last time I updated my review that Internet Nebraska changed their cable tiers. So far they are:
Lite = $29.95 per month for 768/128
Standard = $39.95 per month for 7,000/512
Turbo = $49.90 per month for 10,000/1,000
New customers can get a deal on the standard tier by getting it for $29.95 for the 1st 3 months. I can't believe how reliable this service is. After working at Internet Nebraska for about 8 months, I got many more calls about DSL problems than I ever did with cable. Granted, a majority of the credit goes to Time Warner because it is their network. I am no longer working at Internet Nebraska.
I am on the turbo plan, and I got it mainly for more upload speed. I never get the full 10 megs for download speed. It's usually around 8 Megs, but I always get 1 Meg for upload speed. I am very satisfied with that, but people looking for full speed both directions will be a little disappointed. As for uptime, my connection has only gone down 1 time in a year's time.
Moving my service to a new apartment was a bit confusing though. While the time to get the service moved to my new apartment was very fast, they gave me a new account # which made trying to look up my bill online confusing. For about a week the Time Warner website (Time Warner handles billing for all 3rd party cable ISPs) was showing I owed money for 2 accounts. Eventually the old account went away and everything was straightened out.
I found out a couple things when I was working at Internet Nebraska that might be seen as a negative by some people. The 1st there is a soft limit on e-mail accounts of 10 Megs. When an e-mail account goes over that, the customer is sent an e-mail letting them know they have 7 days to lower that amount but they will still get e-mail. Then there is a hard limit of 40 Megs. Once over that amount, e-mail will not be received. For most people who use an e-mail client that deletes messages from the server right away, this won't be a problem. For people who prefer web based e-mail, get large attachments, and/or uses it for storage, this will be a problem. That amount can be increased for a 1 time charge of $10 per Gig and $10 per instance. For example, if you want to increase your space to 2 Gigs, that will be a total of $30. They also offer Postini spam filtering for $1 per month which I do not use because Mail for OS X has a built in filter that works great.
Another thing about cable Internet service through Internet Nebraska is that they are not allowed to set up accounts for businesses. Time Warner decided that if a business wants cable Internet service, they must pay for a business class tier and they must get it from Time Warner. One of the perks of having business class is, at least this is what I have heard, business tiers do not have a monthly bandwidth cap. However, I have used plenty of bandwidth, and I have never been told to use less. My highest amount so far is about 100 Gigs in a month.
Besides the good feeling of supporting a local company, I recommend using Internet Nebraska because customer service will do more for you than any other ISP. I say this because the other ISPs will only worry about the Internet connection and nothing else. Windstream will even refuse to give tech support to anyone using an OS older than Windows 2000. The techs at Internet Nebraska will do as much as they can to help their customers.

In February of 2000 we ordered Road Runner High-Speed Online from Time Warner Cable.
At the time the only other internet options were Dial-up and DSL (which was slow and very expensive), so this was our only choice for broadband.
We signed up and were on the waiting list. About 6 months later it was installed. The installation sucked. Time Warner's staff was horrid, some of them said cuss words and called us names on the phone.
After 2 years of going with Road Runner, we had had it with them. The line quality was great with an ocasional outage.. but the tech support sucked.
I heard that Internet Nebraska was going to be offering Cable, so I switched.
Within 5 days we were switched from Road Runner to Internet Nebraska.
IN's tech support is wonderful. They're always willing to help and they don't let you off the phone until the problem is solved.
If you're in Nebraska and need a wonderful ISP - get Internet Nebraska. They're actually cheaper than Road Runner and their tech support is 50 times better.

Speed: 2Mbps down / 384Kbps up Price: $35/month Install: Quick and easy. Home Equiptment: Toshiba Cable Modem IP: dynamic, though it rarely changes. (I've had the same one since we got it 3 years ago.) Overall: Good experience.
We're getting DSL from iNebraska and should be installed within 2 days. I'll post a review for that also.
