I signed up with Start Communications 2 months ago through their website. I
received my rental modem within 2 business days and was up and running
within a week. Communication from Start was clear and concise.

There was some miscommunication between Rogers and Start regarding the
scheduling of my installation. However, Start handled the situation
professionally and to my satisfaction.

The service itself is fast and consistent. I am on the Cable Advanced Plan
and achieve the posted speed.

Start has been a welcome change from one of their large corporate
competitors. I have already recommended them to friends!

I just signed up with Start and every question I emailed was
responded to within 2 hours! I received one response at 11:30pm! These
people CARE!

I've just completed the setup and it was painless.

It was harder to figure out how to remove the collars that Cogeco had
put on their cables to prevent users from removing them easily. :-/

I signed up for the highest cable internet package of 16Mbit/1Mbit. I
completed a speed test and at 8:15pm had 31Mbit down and 2Mbit up,
*TWICE* what they advertise.

So far I'm loving these guys!

Hands down the best experience I've had with any sort of telecom provider in Canada since I've lived here. I've been locked to Cogeco for the last 3 years because they are the only ones with lines available in the more newly developed part of Milton. I had been paying well over 85$ per month on average (instead of the ~$60 after tax for a measly 70 gb cap) because of the spotty "overages" I kept incurring.

Compare this to the faster internet speeds (16 vs 12) I'm now getting with Start. And a 300 gb bandwidth cap to boot. All of this for ~$60 a month after taxes. And the service is extremely friendly, helpful, and available. A modem that was delivered to me had been lost in the mail, and less than a couple of days afterwards, they sent a second one, and called repeatedly to make sure i had indeed received this one, and even credited my account a week of service for the hassle. Well played, Start. I hope you grow bigger and better, and would recommend it to anyone looking for better service.
