I have had the 256K package from US West with FastQ as my ISP since mid-October. At first, the connection was excellent with 100% uptime, but then FastQ oversold their bandwidth. For the past three weeks, the connection has been spotty at best. However, they installed a new T3 connection late last week, and I've had no problems since them. Download speeds are typically 60 -70kB/s which is excellent for what I'm paying.
During ordering, US West lost my first invoice, so I had to reorder. After the reorder, equipment arrived two days later. I did a self-install which was very simple. Had my Windows/Linux box configured and running in two hours. FastQ uses dynamic IPs with bridging, so it was a simple configuration.
FastQ provides 3 email addresses (more if you want them), 10MB personal web space and access to all the newsgroups on usenet. News servers hold posts for several weeks.
Their tech support has been very responsive via email, and they have been upfront about the bandwidth issues from the start. I'd recommend them to someone considering DSL as their prices are the best I've seen in the Phoenix area and they appear to have their problems worked out. The 256K package (which for me is actually 640/272 down/up) is 19.95/month to FastQ and 29.95/month to US West.
