Ordered 256k RADSL through USWest to OlyWa. Olywa offered 5 static IP's on a /29 subnet, with unlimited bandwidth for only $25 a month, USWest wanted $19.95 + $10/Gb a month for 1 dynamic IP caped at 1Gb/month in bandwidth and required you to reconnect every 12 hours for a new IP assignment.
USWorst took longer to connect my line than OlyWa did. Cisco 675 Router and 3Com 10/100 Etherlink NIC included with USWest installation fee of $180.
Since USWorst can't figure out how to limit line speed, my 256k DSL varies with the USWest hardware load, peaking around 640k/400k down/up but averages more like 400k/200k.
Still at only $25 a month for ISP and $30 for the DSL from USWorst, I'm more than getting my money's worth.
If you live in the Seattle area and are looking for DSL OlyWa via. USWest
is a cheap way to go.

The order and install processes went very smoothly:
the same day I had a training signal on my Cisco 675
OlyWa connected me on their end, and I was in good to go!
The Cisco 675 from US West was one of the newer
models so I didn't have any problem with the power supply (as some folks did). It's never caused me any problems (knock on wood).
I enjoy the fact that OlyWa provides Static IP numbers and doesn't get concerned over simple
issues such as low level servers, etc.
They've also supplied me with DNS service for two domains - everything is going great with them.
I recommend OlyWA.net without reservation.

I have had 256 DSL through OLYWA since the day it became available. OLYWA notified its dialup customers and they placed the order for us when we indicated we wanted the service. Not long after that cable became available and I wanted to change. But I had a year's contract with the phone company and couldn't . Many or my friends got the cable connection. Their connection is as fast as mine BUT they have had nothing but trouble; loads of down time, long hold times for tech support (over an hour minimum unless they call around 3 AM), etc. The only down time I've had with OLYWA was when they upgraded their mail server. It was for one day and we were warned in advance. When I see what my friends are all going through, I'm glad I wasn't allowed to change my service. Now I'd rather fight than switch!

Olympia Networking Services has given me nothing but good service and value since I started with them. Olywa was one of the first ISPs to offer ADSL and I have been delighted with the service and support. Olywa gave me a block of 5 static IPs so I have no trouble putting all the computers on my LAN onto the single line.
I have been using modems and packet modems for a long time. I was the sysop of a BBS for 9 years and I have used several ISPs over the years. The service and support at Olympia Networking Services is BY FAR the best in my experience.

I've had 256K DSL with OlyWa.Net for more than a year now and love it. The service is top-notch and support is great, though sometimes slow to respond.
In the 14 months I've been with OlyWa I've never suffered an ISP-related outtage (just a few from USWorst).
They immediately placed my order for me with USWest and walked me through the service setup. Installation was so easy, I didn't need to call anyone.
Speed has been fantastic. With the static IPs they gave me, I've been running my Web site right from my desktop iMac.
You can't beat OlyWa for service, support, or price.
I've been so happy with them at home that I've begun switching all of my business' branch offices to OlyWa DSL.

I signed up with Olywa.net about six months ago. I run a small web hosting company, and needed reliable services with good support. Olywa has provided both.
They worked with me on getting everything ready to switch my pre-existing service to their services- including dns services for about all the ip addresses. Everything went smoothly, and I was back up and running with nothing more than a hickup. Since then, everything has been great. uswest took us down once for upgrades and messed things up, but all in all my dsl service with OlyWa.net has been up and runing even with many other local dsl services going down. Technical support has been quick and responsive, and I have had nothing but good experiences with olywa.net!!.
I depend on olywa for my customers and my business, and recommend them whenever possible.

Back when I was trying to choose between Cable Modem and ADSL it was definately a hard choice. At first glance Cable Modems seemed like the better deal. It was cheaper and faster. Though several of my collegues had gotten cable modems and experienced terrible problems with everything from installation to tech support to weird restrictions and such.
I ended up choosing DSL, why? Well one of the main reasons was because of the ISP it was through, OlyWa (Olympia Networking Services). I had had my dial-up account through them for several years so part of it was loyalty. Other factors included: great tech support, reliable service, local (just down the road), laid back attitude, and they don't get on your back for little things!
So I signed up for the 256KB/s line. I opted for the self-install so I received the dsl modem and all that in the mail soon after and had no trouble setting it up. I even got 5 (five) free static IP addresses.
After having used it for nearly a year now I'd say I'm VERY satisfied. Speeds are reasonable. Tech support is good (though very very rarely needed). It's incredibly reliant (down maybe twice in a whole year for no more than 1 minute). Honestly, I've had NO problems at all. Great service. Though a price drop would be lovely. Currently it's 39.95 to USWest and $25 to olywa per month. it's a little pricey but still worth it.

I would HIGHLY recommend Olywa.net. I rate them 5 in all categories, except the DNS (mail and news are 5's). It would sometimes take a while to look up a hostname, but that problem hasn't happened for months now. I've got the 256k dsl, the install process was easy as cake, I have up to 5 static IP's.
It seems like Olywa is a bunch of nice people running an ISP as opposed to some crazy company cramming a bunch of users into their system.
