I ordered my Bronze+ DSL from MM Internet on March 31st and in less than two weeks I was setup and running!

When the I received the free modem it was easy to setup. My "Bronze Plus" service is rated at 768kbps download and 128 kbps upload. I have tested the speed at various speedtest sites, including DSLreports (I am currently getting 770kbps download and 112kbps upload). Thanks for the great service.

I initiated my Bronze service with WEBVISION (I suppossedly was the first GTE Downey Central Office ADSL customer in Downey) back in 1998 and later my account was sold to MM Internet, at first I thought -"Great, now I'm going to be with some little ISP company that's going to go belly up in 6 months and I'll have to look for service somewhere else sooner than later"- boy, was I wrong! MM Internet has done nothing else but provide me with great customer support the 4 times I've needed it and 3 of those were the telco's fault. I upgraded to Bronze Plus since then and now I'm contemplating Bronze Plus Enhanced. Static I.P. address price can't be beat but in my opinion at least 2 e-mail addresses per account should be included at no extra cost. Nick, Brian (how many Brians are there? Chris, Steve and all the other support personnel are the BEST... Keep up the good work and your customer base will keep on growing... | Thursday, 07/19/2001; UPDATE.- Now that I received my new DSL modem from Verizon (at no cost to me) I'm getting consistent speed test results of 718/121 kbps. My old modem (3 years old) finally gave its last effort with consistent 260/90 speed test results. So, now I'm going to go for the Bronze Plus Enhanced service with a claimed 1.5Mbps up and 128 kbps down... | Update 2001-08-12.- And guess what? I submitted my on-line request for the upgrade, received a prompt answer to my request and service started before the promised date... I'm telling you people, FOR YOUR MONEY, MM INTERNET IT'S THE BEST VALUE! |Update 2001-08-16.- Now I'm getting consistent readings of 1.2 and 1.3 mbps download and 115 to 121 kbps upload... not that it is going to make me a better player in Team Fortress Classic but the mp3s should download faster! :-] |Update 2001-08-28.- I just can't stand liars such as alfie and Tiggergem... Brian Hinds and all the techs at MM Internet will bend over backwards to help their customers and are prompt and courteous as long as YOU the customer is not abusive. Talk to/treat everybody the way you'd like to be talked to/treated and you'll enjoy life much better... well, that's my 2¢ of feedback regarding alfie and Tiggergem's postings. |Update 2001-10-15.- I've started playing around with Microsoft Front Page and also ordered and FTP program to post a web page on the generous space that MM Internet provides to ALL its customers (»home.mminternet.com/~user) for EACH e-mail address... I'll let you know how successful my attempts become. :-] |Update 2001-12-05.- Hey "jbauman"! (see his "comments" below) wanna become an MM Internet customer now? I'm just wondering if you got hit with the @home cable internet service bankruptcy and service interruption... |Update 2002-02-04.- The only problem I've had so far is with the billing department. I already provided the new data for my billing (which it was only a new expiration date on my credit card) but I keep getting "rejected card" notices e-mails... Let's see if later today they get it right. |Ipdate 2002-02-11 All problems with my credit card billing solved with 1 phone call. | Update 2002-05-08.- The new MM Internet Forum is cool! check it out here »online.mminternet.com/forum/list.php?f=1 | Update 2003-05-08.- MM Internet STILL ROCKS! | Update 2005-10-06 It still is a smooth ride with MM Internet... | Update 2006-03-30.- Well, the last problem I had with the recent rains in SoCal turned out to be solely Verizon's fault. Once my phone line was "switched" (tech's term) to a diferent "pair" (this also supposedly took about 400 ft. less distance to the Central office) my service has been the usual 100% reliable. MM Internet more expensive than the competition? yes... would I switch? not yet... then again you get what you pay for.

Here I am, June of 2008, new residence at the O.C. City of Westminster and MM Internet keeps on humming with no hickups, I now have my VOIP with them and I see no reason to change anytime soon. Great job guys!

Update: Just upgraded to 3.0Mbps/768Kbps service. Totally smooth and getting very close to rated speeds. MM Internet continues to take great care of me. Availability of multiple static IP addresses is great.

MM Internet executed perfectly against their commitments. I ordered service online on Monday and was running the following Monday. They provided the modem and had it in my hands before the promised delivery date.

I ordered 1.5Mbps down/384Kbps up and the line is performing at that level with perfrect reliability and consistency (I do web hosting and run line monitoring 24x7). I got 5 static IP addresses for the price I paid.

The home equipment includes 7 servers running Windows, Linux, and FreeBSD. All are working perfectly.

I've been with them for well over 5 years now. I have an ATM line, and pay $99 a month.

MMInternet is one of those companies, where every aspect of the hardware side is perfection. 99.99999% up time, and they are clean. Every once in a while, there's some bumps but they seem to get on it right away.

Where they fall flat on their face is, they have absolutely no clue what customer service, or customer relations are. They are arrogant, they are terrible about returning calls, and they are only available 8 to 5, M-F. You could go down at 5:01 on Friday, and you're screwed until Monday morning. You can't even get a hold of someone to even see if it just something that needs to be reset.

As of late, 8/2007, they also seem to have outages a lot more often than is the norm for them ... not long ones, just 2 minutes here or there. Just long enough to get you disconnected from your game ... and replaced by your group or raid and totally tick you off. And yes, its them ... I can see it on the modem.

What's really needed here is serious competition for MMInternet, Because they don't really have any. A little competition might convince them their customers are a little more than a check that shows up every month.

My primary reason for choosing MMInternet was my need for a static IP address. First, I had to disconnect my Verizon DSL to free the line. When I placed the order with MMInternet, they gave me a status page I could check. It took most of the 14 days for Verizon to free my line so they could install - which the people at MMInternet told me when I asked. After it was free, they sent me an e-mail saying my connection would go live on 2/10. The evening of 2/9, I rebooted my DSL MODEM --- Look!! My new DSL connection!!! A day early.

Speed tests are close enough to the advertised speeds that I'm satisfied.

The only glitch is they haven't created my account to check my billing, e-mail, etc. I'm sure that will be resolved today (they probably want my money) so that's not a big deal.

    Overall, I'm a happy customer.

I have had DSL for over a Year with Flashcom, 384/384 for 49.99 a month,But i needed faster down speed and Flashcom could not deliver that for the price that i can get from mminternet.

After a MAJOR glitch with GTE and issues that are still being addressed i am getting fast down speeds ,ups are a little slow (GTE Issue) but they are being worked on,they are very customer caring ,they even gave me a FREE dialup account to use when i couldnt get online because of the line problems (GTE Issue Again).

If not for the Excellent Help from Brian H. at mminternet i would have just stayed with Flashcom , but he knows what he's doing and is very helpful, He answers questions and even has gone as far as to light a fire under GTE to get them going.

Mminternet is a small ISP, but those i think are the best kind, they care more for their customers than the BIG guys do.

All in all MMINTERNET is #1 and i would recommend them to anyone.

Keep up the good work !!!!

Update: I now have been with MM Internet for over 3 years and i must say I'm still as happy with them as i was from day 1. I did however upgtade to "Bronze Plus" for $10.00 a month more but now i have 1500/128 and heard that rates may drop in the near future. Thanks Again MM

I had been a somewhat-satisfied customer of Telocity, then a mostly-satisfied customer of DirecTV DSL. But they decided to end operations, and I was forced to search for a new ISP. I found MM Internet through DSL Reports, and after reviewing all my options, decided they had the best combination of services for the price. (Since I have *EXPLETIVE* Verizon lines, I don't qualify for the lowest-priced services from companies like DSL Extreme. Apparently Verizon charges more than SBC to independent DSL providers and consumers alike...)

Signed up online on 1/4/03 for the "Bronze Plus" speed at 256k to 768k down / 128k up at $52.95/month, with a $99 setup charge. I received an email message the next morning stating that DirecTV was holding up the process, and that I'd be notified when the transition could proceed. MM Internet called me after DirecTV released the line, and again when they had a firm transition date and had shipped the DSL modem. MM Internet transitioned my lines to their service on 1/17/03. Downtime was extremely short! The DirecTV connection was shut off around 11AM, and after I installed their gateway at 5PM, everything worked perfectly. I thought getting DSL was supposed to be more difficult than this...

I'm consistently getting the rated speeds, with lower latencies than DirecTV was able to provide, and my upload speed has quadrupled! I've got my static IP, and for reasonable additional monthly charges, MM Internet will provide additional IPs and email boxes, and even backup mail relay service. Try finding that with another consumer-grade DSL provider!

I haven't needed tech support, so I must leave that section unscored. The fact that I haven't needed tech support says a lot in itself! Everything I have used has been great.

    UPDATE, 4-24-03:

This update is long overdue. I requested a special configuration for my IP address, and not only was MM Internet's tech support KNOWLEDGEABLE and COURTEOUS, they made the change for free! In the 3 months since my line was provisioned, I've never had a service outage, and I'm extremely happy I found this ISP.

I found out about MM from a co-worker and he thought their service was great. I just installed and it when smooth. I made one pre-sales call that took about 2 minutes. I filled out the on-line form that took 2 minutes. I had my install date and ip addresses within 1 hour. The install went perfect. I just disconnected my Verizon DSL. I think MMs Technical Support line hours are from 8-6.Verizon technical support is 24 x 7 but I would rather call MM and get the problem solved in 2 minutes during 8-6 rather than dealing with Verizon’s technical support people. The difference seems to be MM is small and they are hands on. The people that answer the phone fix the problem.

My modem arrived a few days early, but I was out of town. I returned the day of service activation. Plugged everything in, enetered a few addresses (clearly listed on page one of the paper mail I received) and bam. Crisp and clear, almost instantaneous internet.

    I'm a single home-biz user, 1435/134. Perfect.

Every day I have to make calls that strand me on hold, listening to advertising I don't need and wasting valuable time. Its an absolute joy to deal with a company that answers their phone. In a sea of downsizers and automation, its great to talk with someone who is getting paid for being a good and responsive company. I will gladly pay the extra $10 a month for this! Forget war...send my taxes to MM !

Overall, there's not much to say because everything has worked so well. Thanks to MM for making my dsl experience a very positive one. I and my partner really appreciate it.

The service was turned on on the scheduled date. I didn't actually have time to set my computers up until the Sunday after my service was turned on. I setup everything properly, but still had no service. I called MMInternet and spoke with Steve. He discovered that my service had been set up on the wrong segment at the central office. I called Verizon, who put in a call and in about an hour they fixed my problem. Both Verizon's tech, Jimmy and Steve at MMinternet called me back to make sure I was up and running properly - all this on a Sunday!!

I ran a speed test and I am getting what I am paying for. This review is for my home setup. I have been a customer of MMInternet for over a year now, using them for our business connection and we are extremely pleased. Thank You!
