I quit Earthlink due to a 6 day outage. I called Keyway at 2pm, and had service by 6pm. They are friendly, informative, and helpful. I am very happy with them. Also, when I called back to confirm everything and give them my billing information (they did the setup without it), the other people I spoke with already knew who I was.

"Keyway is a comparatively small ISP, which is nice. They answer the phones, their email, and are very helpful."
"With the reduction in Verizon DSL charges, Keyway is now competative with other DSL providers"
"Very helpful, reliable ISP. In more than 6 years I've had very few outages, none for more than a few minutes.."

I ordered the bronze plus GTE service package, approximately $49 per month. I have added DUN access for an additonal $1 per month.
The initial install (in August of 1999), done by GTE, was a true travail; the installers were ill-trained, ill-prepared, and late. I moved in July of 2000, the reinstall went flawlessly (now it is a self-install, which may be why it was flawless!!)
I have a static IP, which I like.
Keyway has been an excellent ISP. We had Earthlink before; they are good as well but huge and consequently it is difficult to reach a live person. I can pick up a telephone and have it answered, the first time, by a real live person. Keyway's personnel are friendly and helpful, too. Although the price is a bit higher than the "best deal" around, I highly recommend Keyway.
************
My monthly price has been reduced to $19.50, including the DUN access; the original monthly ISP cost was mistaken and Keyway adjusted my account without so much as a moment's hesitation.
Earlier this year (2004) Verizon changed its billing charges, practice, and offerings. I received a higher rated up/down line for less money. Keyway is now a very attractive package, from a cost perspective.
I continue to have excellent service and support, and I've been a Keyway subscriber for almost six years. I've read the complaints others have posted and I must comment that, while everyone has an opinion and some have apparently had bad experiences, I am not among the naysayers. I heartedly recommend Keyway as an ISP for all the same reasons.
I would be very unhappy if I had to switch.

Keyway has been my dial up provider for over 5+ years now and for the last 3 years I've been using Dancris as my primary DSL ISP. Long story short; Dancris decided not provide DSL in California. Within 24 hours of Calling Keyway I was up on there DSL service with a static IP address. I may have been lucky and the planets lined up for me but it's about time everything went better than expected in the world of DSL. Since being on Keyway's DSL I learned to snap. Yea every time I click a hyperlink snap the page is ready to read. Thier service is so much faster yet my connection with Verizon hasn't changed 768x128. This proves to me that Keyway is not oversubscribing there Internet bandwidth. Over the years I've referred several people to Keyway and I hear the same high quality experience from them too. I love the fact that the same people answer the phone year after year and the phone is always answered by a HUMAN.

The guy's at Keyway are great! Good customer service and most of the time, the technical support department calls me back!
The down side... Verison is involved. On the few occasions that I have had serious problems, and Keyway has had to put in a trouble ticket with Verison, it allmost looks like the folks at Verison just start randomly replacing parts on the network.
Bottom Line: I can't hold keyway up for Verison's faults and as an ISP you can't go wrong with Keyway

I have had Keyway DSL for 2 years now and it ROCKS! I have never had any problems with the Internet service. The sales staff is friendly and knowlegeable and the tech guys are top notch. They have helped out with my Linux box, and they dont care if you host web sites on their static ip's. If there is a weak link anywhere, I would say that it is the dim wits at GTE (now verizon). If you want an ISP that cares that you are their customer, you want Keyway. If you want to be a faceless number choose Verizon or Earthlink. KEYWAY ROCKS!

I got my DSL connection in May 2000 and used Earthlink for two days, and then switched to Linkline until the beginning of January 2001 when their DNS servers and router became overwhelmingly congested. A friend has been with Keyway at the same
time. I experienced extremely fast speed browsing websites on his computer. I then decided to switch to Keyway. For the last three week, Keyway has been a great DSL ISP. The representatives and technicians are friendly, professional, and know networking, period. Keyway has very, very fast backbones. Even a representative from Verizon commented on Keyway's backbones when he ran a congestion test. He was amazed at how quick Keyway was.
Keyway is one of the few ISP I know that run a Unix-based server, at least ftpwise. I highly recommend Keyway Internet. I have been with many ISP, including
Earthlink and Linkline. Keyway is by far the best.
