Have Worldlink as an ISP...paid for 6 months and got 6 months free!! No problems on there side.

Qwest is delivering the DSL....bad board at the stinger caused the speed to drop, but they replaced it today...looking good.

    Qwest tech support was fantastic!!!!!
They knew what they were doing and took the time to help me out...

Everything was great at first. I got the DSL, and it smoked my old 56k, Took couple days to get the (785k /112k) DSL working but it turned out someone down at GTE didn't flip some switch somewhere and that was the problem. I have connection outages every few days thought. they last about 1 to 20 minutes and are Quit annoying when playing Quake 3. Worldlink blames it on GTE and GTE blames it on worldlink so I can't get anywhere in fixing the problem. I also get pings of over 150ms on even the fastest Quake 3 servers (ex: arena.gamers.com) so I am currently looking for a new ISP that can give me the speed I need to play network games. I would recommend this ISP if all your doing is browsing the web though. If your a gammer and require speed, Look somewhere else.. It's not worth the trouble.

I have 256/256 service through USWest to Worldlink, static IP, using USWest provided Cisco 675.

Generally speaking I like Worldlink a lot. Where they're not perfect is:

    a) I've had some problems with connection availability. (About 3 days worth over last 6 months.) The problem is that when there are connection problems there is unlimited finger pointing between USWorst and Worldlink. Probably it is due to USWorst, but who can tell and it is very frustrating regardless of who's at fault. Worldlink doesn't keep their "news" page of trouble reports and resolutions up-to-date.

    b) Tech support is very friendly, esp. for password resets and the like, but can be stumped by technical difficulties with the DSL line, unfortunately.

    c) Worldlink buys usenet services from an outside supplier, apparently, and every once in awhile you can't get news due to overloading of the server (won't let you log in).

I don't want to be negative - like I said I do like Worldlink in general, and get (somewhat) greater than the 256kbs download speed I'm paying for, and will renew with them this month. Have had no email or DNS problems at all. VPN connections to my employer through my DSL work great. I usually run two users simultaneously in the evenings through the line with no problems at all.
