This is a small company, but really seem to care about their customers. I have been with them about 8 years. To start off I had some issues, but they worked to resolve them and I have had no trouble since. If you want to upgrade or downgrade it is very fast with adjusted billing. DSL is clean and clear and I can do more with a 1Mb/384 line than I could with standard cable. Thanks!

DACOR and Verizon hit the promised delivery date. Speed is FAST! Customer Service from DACOR WAS EXCELLANT. They even have real live humans answer the phone.

The order was placed on August 31 with the understanding that service would be active by Sept 21 at the LATEST. On Sept 24, neither Verizon nor Dacor had any clue as to why the service wouldn't work, although Verizon claimed that the necessary circuits had been made active and programed on Sept 6 (which no one bothered telling me about until I finally called them on Sept 24.)
After literally spending two days on the phone with both Verizon and Dacor (and getting hung up on by a Verizon "customer service rep", no less), I finally managed to figure the problem out on my own and talk both companies into fixing it. Apparently, Dacor sent Verizon the incorrect DLCI information and Verizon refused to believe their system was improperly programed. I digress to point out that Dacor initially told me in August that they would not give the DLCI info to me to give to Verizon as it would be "screwed" up if they didn't do it themselves.
At any rate, currently I have the Bronze Plus service which advertises 768 down and 128 up. I have yet to exceed 200 Kbps down and generally average only 150 regardless of the time of day and that's only if I'm lucky enough to get access at all. The "always on" advertised rarely is.
According to the single Verizon tech I managed to talk to that seemed to have a clue, Dacor maintains 2 T1 lines, both of which are peaking at 90% capacity during off-peak hours! In my opinion, this is now bordering on the criminal. While I understand that download speeds are not guaranteed, in essence, I'm paying $50 (not to mention the $70 to install and another $50 for the modem) a month for what equates to a slightly beefed up 56K dial-up with none of the reliability.
At this point, I'm waiting to see if Dacor's order to move me to the second circuit will improve the situation, but I'm not holding my breath. As a side note, the tech at Dacor said this would improve the situation as "other customers that were having problems on the first circuit stopped complaining after getting moved." My retort - then why did you put me on the first circuit? And why are you not fixing the fist circuit? Barring some significant improvement from this move, I fully intend to initiate litigation if they (both Dacor and Verizon) don't release me from the contract for services (which they are not providing).
Bottom line with this is - Run while you still can...it's too late for me, but save yourself.

DACOR does a great job especially given the price. To bad they are partnered with GTE or the service would be fantastic.
