Value for money:

Line provider is GTE/Verizon.

I ordered 768/128 for $32.50 mthly.

IP is World Wide Commuication. AKA rica.net and pay 19.95 mthly.

Took about three mths to get. First time order didn't get entered. Called to check

after five weeks and found out I had to reorder. Received equipment about six weeks later. Got free modem and five microfilters and install instructions. Installation a breeze. Call IP same day for addresses. Service was really fast until a T1 went down. Took about six weeks to get fast service again, but then that was spotty. Would go through periods of slower than 56k modem speeds. I would call GTE and they would say it was my IP and my IP would say its GTE. After a frustrating search through GTE's web sight I found a link to dsl reports. The tweaks vastly improved throughput and I learned about traceing and pinging. Once armed with this new knowledge I was able to get through to level 2 tech support and couldn't be buffaloed as easily. I have found several places to check the speed of my line and have found out that I get between 450-700kps on the east coast to Ohio, but only get 100-300kps from the west coast. I haven't contacted my IP about this yet. This is a great web site. I have learned alot in the past couple of weeks. Enough to know that my IP will buffalo ignorant customers.
