We just had COVAD DSL installed at home and it was a complete success the
first time. The COVAD installation took about half an hour and the
technician was prompt, courteous and nice. When we installed the ethernet
card and reconnected the link came up immediately the first time.

We have used Navpoint as our dial-up ISP for the last two years and been
completely pleased. Going up to DSL with them was a natural thing to do and
works great. Their staff is exemplary and committed to helping their users
in a quick and expeditious manner. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Residential DSL installed on 6-26-00 - 608K / 128K. Install went smoothly
    - Covad tech was in and out in about 20 minutes. Service was up and
running when he left on two machines with static IPs. It's been just about
3 weeks now and I've used it a lot - especially with large downloads
300-700mb downloads continually. It's not uncommon to be able to pull in a
60K (480k or 78% of the advertisied 608k bandwidth) ftp download on one
machine and still have plenty of bandwidth on the other machine for fast
web access. Reliability has been outstanding - for someone who is in front
of the computer 6-10 hours / day, I've not lost my DSL connection once. My
online gaming ping times / ploss have gone from a very respectable 130ms
with 1.2% ploss via modem through Navpoint, to 60ms with .8% ploss to the
same gaming servers. In 3 weeks, I've not been disconnected from a game
server once because of lag. Navpoint staff are always willing to answer
questions, and, everyone there is very knowledgeable about not only the
Internet in general, but, the technical info on DSL service. During
business hours, 99% of the time you get a person answering the phone right
away - no automatic voicemail hell to navigate through just to leave a
message. I highly recommend Navpoint for their DSL service (and if that's
not available in your area, I had their oustanding dial up service for 3+
years with nothing but excellent service).

Six weeks into DSL after 1.5 years "TRYING" to obtain cable & 3 years of
dial up internet. Like all users of the internet I am a hungry user for
speed. It would be nice to have Bell Atlantic's 7 MBPS DSL they talk about
for $185.00 per month. However, not available in my neighborhood. and the
try with Flashcom for 1.1 MBPS DSL at $250.00 per month. As a totally blind
computer programmer who spends many hours a day demanding much from the
internet I am satisfied with DSL. I use it daily for webpage surfing music,
electronic mail, and more. I check out radio stations from around the
country and even play ham radio with it from time to time. I thank you for
this service. Jon has been of tremendous help getting the last of the bugs
out with the setup of this service. The representative from Covad was
extremely curtious and whent out of his way to see that the service was
effectively working. I submit this as a satisfied customer. I wish for all
those at Navpoint to feel good about a service which is finally working
properly. The telephone modem has found its way back into its original
carton forever. If you ever find a faster service, please make me aware of
it because I have uses for it.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

As a subscriber to Navpoint, I just wanted to comment on the DSL line that
I have that may answer your questions.

I have been w/ Navpoint for a number of years starting with a dial up
connection, then using the dial up w/ a Hughes satellite for download
speed. As of this past October I had subscribed to Navpoints DSL and had a
flawless installation as well as fantastic service. My upload and download
speeds are varied to comparable speeds of a T1 connection.

As for your other questions regarding installation, policies, initial
startup cost & so on, can be answered by Navpoint.

I for one am very happy I have made the switch to DSL and only wish I had
done so sooner. I find it very difficult to use a computer with just a
phone modem anymore, as my patience for slow Download & Upload are very
    short.
