I have been using Hurricane Electric - www.he.net
- for at least 7 years. During that time they have been EXTREMELY
reliable and responsive on the rare occasion I've needed to speak with
support. There has rarely been a time when my site is not up and/or my
e-mail hasn't worked. They are flexible in billing (rather than charge
me excessively for disk usage, they just converted me to the next plan
up).
For the price, you get a full Linux shell account with access to a MySQL
database and use of such development languages as PHP 4, Perl, and SSI
abilities.
Given my experience with ISPs/Web hosts, and other companies in general,
I am VERY impressed overall and highly recommend them (I've already got
clients using them and in one case, where there was a problem, it was
fixed within an hour and the client literally couldn't complain - for
over 2 years they've been rock solid for this client - and over 7 years
for me.
