iNYC is also known as Intercom Inc

I haven't gone live with my sites yet, so I haven't used it except when I get home from work. Sometimes, there is no service when I try it. The technical support goes home at a certain time and I can't get it fixed until the next day, and sometimes their mailbox is full and you can't leave a message.

I wrote some programs for my company, and I noticed that the throughput was a little slow, I thought it was the toolset (OCX controls) I was using. Now I almost have the email up and ready (and secure), and I've noticed that the patch downloads are really slow and the throughput is not at 2.3 Mbps, but a mere 256 Kbps, (about 1/10th of the speed). I thought it could be my hardware that is acting like a bottleneck until I took the cable from the computer, and put it right in the DSL router, and I couldn't get it past the 256 Kbps.

I wrote load-testing software to test the speed, and I have to write another program to monitor when it goes down so I can review the service. I have to build my business, and I can't spend extra time writing programs, network debugging to find out if my DSL provider is the problem. It's also very upsetting to realize that I've been paying $410 for 256 Kbps speed.

I called Friday night and left a message, and it's now Sunday and I haven't heard anything, and I haven't seen an improvement in the speed.

Man this burns me up, I can't believe they've been paying wholesale for 256Kbps, then charging me resale 2.3Mbps. Nobody knew anything? These guys are thieves.

What can I say? I can't believe I was duped into signing a 2 year contract...What a fool! When Northpoint went under my connection was down for over a month. Still payed them though. I figure I have been without DSL for at least two months if you added it all up. Tech support is never availble on the weekends, and that is usually when I would lose service. Tried to leave them but they threatened to charge me for early cancellation. I even started out with a static IP and was paying $89, now they are sucking $95 dollars from my AMEX and I got a PPPoE! Additionally, I started out with 1.5/384, but now I am lucky to get half that!

Don't make my mistake...Get someone else!

I was one of the offices that lost service due to September 11th attack on the world trade center. I was actually using INYC's T1 service and very happy with it. I originally requested to get DSL service however based on the CO located in the World Trade Center, INYC informed me that the CO was not available for DSL through any provider. I guess some politics stuff, so I in turn, I ordered a T1. The install and service was exactly what I was expecting On Time and Always On with Guaranteed speed (T1 SLA).

INYC did contact me via email and left some phone messages after the disaster to find out if I they can assist our company with new service as well as ask if there was anything they can do to help our business run (ie. Mail, dns). I told them that as soon as I get new office space I would call them to order new service.

Well roughly a month and a half ago I ordered my service and this time wanted to go with INYC's DSL service to cut costs from our previous broadband service. I ordered a 2.3 Mb line for $399/month. It included a block of Static IP address, web hosting and email hosting (which includes web based email and control panel for administration purposes)- I was paying $899/month for the full T1 when it was up and running with INYC). The install wasn't as smooth as my T1 installation however after a second visit from verizon which prolonged the installation by a week and a half, I had a clean line and an inside wiring date from NAS. I needed to get the line up as soon as possible and i was given an install date for the next day after verizon was in. INYC really knows how to cater to your needs-

Here I am at my new office location with INYC DSL service and to be honest the service has been the same reliable service and consistent speed of my T1 line but only faster now. The company will be consolidating another office here and I will need an additional broadband line to suffice the additional network. INYC's engineer Oreya, explained how they can bond multiple DSL lines together to get one line. This will require some equipment including a cisco router and switch but I will then be able for example to take (2) 2.3 mb lines and make (1) 4.6mb line for around $899/month. This is what I was paying for a 1.54mb T1 line.

I am glad INYC was able to offer me several solutions for our business. With there service I have not been down once and I cant criticize there tech support cuz I have never needed to call them exept to learn how to use the mail control panel.

DSL was a technology I was scared to use because of the press you see everyday in the news but as long as INYC and NAS can stay in business , I only have great things to say about them.

I was a former Verizon DSL customer. I had many issues with the PPPOE software which resulted in me reformatting my computer to no avail (the verizon tech person recommended me to do so). . I needed a static IP address to run some servers and REAL SUPPORT! The Verizon numbers never got me even close to a human being. After that and several billing problems I switched my service over to INYC just a few months ago and let me just say no SOFTWARE TO INSTALL. This company was SO EZ to work with on the phone and via Email 110%. Their techs do not take you through a script that they have to work from, they listen and respond to your needs - (Thank you David Attias!)

I got my block of IP addresses and maintain a VPN and Web server. There Speed tests consistently show that I am getting what I paid for. I have experienced no down time.

No Installation problems No DNS problems. No POP3 problems.

    INYC has been problem free!

    iNYC is great.

    I have a 256k SDSL w/ 1 static IP Address $99.00 a month Queens, NY.

The install took a while but it was due to Verizon. (approximately 23 calendar days) iNYC actually called me with every step of the installation process to make sure I will be available for their engineers and explained every situation to me so I was aware.

The connection is extremely stable -- with no downtime. I have been up for a month straight now and really hope the service continues to stay at this rate.

As far as support goes I can call iNYC and always get someone there to help me. Thank you David Bruno in provisioning and Tom Portoulas who coordinated the sale.

My SDSL line yes a bit higher then cable or ADSL but the rewards are pilling up and I am able to run my web server which is a big plus with its own Static IP Address.

    Very happy so far,

    Jonathan S. Friedman

I wanted to comment how happy I am with iNYC.COM's SDSL service. I am using the 512KB. I've had to call them a few times with setup and installation questions since I am setting up my own web server. The phone is picked up immediately and the support staff is very knowledgable and helpful. This is a surprise since I've had to deal with a couple of other ISP's in the past where waiting for support for an hour or two was normal. The sales person I dealt with was very helpful and knew the right people to answer my technical questions. Although the cost is a little bit higher than other ISPs it is worth it.

    Regards,

    Costas

Well before ordering any product (Hi Tech, that is) in the world, I call their customer service or techical help and determine how long it would take to get through in case of a problem. I called and right off the bat I got an INYC tech guy on the phone who was abruptly hung up on by me!-sorry guys. I called into the sales department and explained to the sales rep that I previously had DSL with Rhythms and had tried to get service through Qwest - to hear that there is noise on my line and that DSL would be unavailable. GREAT!!!! I just had it and now I can't get it back.WTF!?? The sales guy told me that INYC has been doing DSL business for 3 years and had a good track record with the Telco for getting lines installed on time. After 8 days, David called me from INYC to tell methat verizon was scheduled to my house (in 6 days)-i crossed my fingers the whole time BECAUSE I needed this line installed so that I may work a few days from home a week . The Verizon tech showed and was successfully able to provide a clean pair. I wanted to buy the guy lunch , i kepte telling him that I would but he said he had plenty more to do that day. Dave called (INYC installs) and wanted to make sure that the verizon tech was there and I told him YES! and they told me all was well. Dave had a date within 5 days for NAS to come and install the router. I asked for my IP configuration in advance so that I may configure my exchange server. NAS came out as scheduled and after 10 minutes successfully got a signal and the rest is HISTORY. I ordered a 256kb SDSL line for $139/month - A bit more expensive for service but I do plan to run an echange server and an FTP server and i require multiple IP addresses. No access to the equipment - Guess thats why it's free but in any case for any changes to the router, I must have an INYC tech guy make changes- less headache for me.... with a big smile. Thanks INYC, for doing the job and allowing me to live and work with more freedom. I owe you! My speeds have been fine so far as well as my uptime-Will keep you all posted -

I just wanted to say that I'm really happy with the service we've received
from iNYC. Our company uses them for DSL in three offices. Each time we
need to expand or upgrade, their team is always there to provide answers to
my endless technical questions and additional bandwidth to their already
rock-solid service. And great response time! Thanks guys!

I liked to give thanks to INYC's Team of professional's. I had a 512k sdsl line for a year and enjoyed every minute of it. Given that the company has it's own network their bandwidth was awesome running at least 99% of the bandwidth all the time. Unfortunately I've moved and can't enjoy their premium service and quality business level bandwidth. Given there ability to keep their prices low and quality high I would strongly recommend their service to everyone. Special thanks to Mr. Steven Bruno, Mr. David Bruno and Tom "PW" Portulas.
