The first question you need to answer is can I even overclock my system? If you have a name brand computer (Dell, HP, etc.) or a laptop then most likely you can't overclock your system (video card may still be overclockable).
Check out this FAQ entry to find out about overclocking name brand computers.

Now that you have figured out if your computer can be overclocked or not you are most likely wondering just how fast you can make it. The simple answer is that nobody knows. Every computer component will overclock differently due to silicon changes, reaction to other hardware, cooling and many other factors. If you search the overclocking forum you can generally get a good idea of how certain parts overclock. For instance if you look at the 50+ threads that have been made on the DFI Infinity and AMD Mobile Barton CPUs you can figure out what a realistic overclock would be for that pair.
Some databases have been setup for people to send in their overclocking results with different CPUs. Take a look at these 2 links to see if you can get a better idea of how your CPU will overclock. Make sure you note what stepping your CPU as it makes a difference when you search the database.
If you do end up posting this question in the forums because you can't find any similar threads/systems on the forums please be as specific about your hardware as you can be in your post.
