You username must be at least six characters in length. See Google's explanation:

Studies have shown that short usernames at popular domains receive significantly more spam due to automatic address generation. Gmail's requirement that all usernames be at least six characters in length is meant to keep spam out of your inbox.

I ave an account of GMAIL titile as dsherla@gmail.com. since last 4 years old.
Due to personal accident i cant operate gamil and redifffmail account since last
4 month.
Now when i started to access my gamil account.But its expereience some
problem due to wrong password. I cant open my gamil account. Even now
gamil asking wrong security question. AT my account opening time i am submitting
security question as -- What is your favourate food? But at present gmail
asking that -- What is your first telephine number?
So plese note my pproblem and try to cooprate me to access my account--
