The SMC2804WBRP-G is an IEEE 802.11g compliant wireless broadband router that provides the ability to share a broadband connection and print server functions. The SMC2804WBRP-G allows a DSL or cable modem connection to be shared by up to 253 PCs through either its four local 10/100 Ethernet ports or its integrated wireless Access Point. The SMC2804WBRP-G is equipped with a USB 1.1 printer port for sharing a directly connected printer across your network. Additional features include Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall security, 802.1x for authentication, Wi-Fi Protected Access™ (WPA), disable SSID broadcast, MAC address filtering, 64-/128-bit Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), and network management. The SMC2804WBRP-G also provides special pass-through functions for common VPN implementations including Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP), Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP), and IPSec. It also has two detachable antennas that can be replaced with SMC high-gain antennas for added performance and coverage.
