How do I remove search engines from the search bar? (#12000)
Navigate to your Firefox profile folder and look in the searchplugins folder. Delete the files corresponding to the search engines you don't want. Each search plugin is a text file which you can view to determine its function. The default set of search plugins is found in the searchplugins folder in the Firefox install folder, and is only used when a new profile is created.
