I own a SCIENTIFIC ATLANTA EXPLORER 3200 and shows tr.09. What is this code and how it can be repair. After unpluging the unit and plugin it back works for 30 minutes and the tr.09 appears again. Thanks alfredoag@tutopia.com

The IR is for an Fiber optic cable usually out to a surround sound speakers, 0r can be an input from Blue ray or DVD player that has IR out not sure what the USB is for some boxes will let you save movies or shows to usb flash drive others will let you play movies or pics, from a flash drive ,,,,,Go on line and find the manual,you'll get better answers that way may ..... and yes it requires activation
