This feature is available by default with the Ultimate or Unlimited Bundles. It can be added to the Basic Bundle for an additional charge.
Calls (either inbound or outbound) can be transferred in a few different ways:
•With the first caller on the line, press link, followed by *08 and the number of the second caller. When ringing is heard, hang up. The first party will transfer to the second.
•Using the "Transfer the call..." option in Phone Control (Call Control or VOISS ASSISTANT). With the first call on the line, press the transfer button, and you can enter the number to send the call to. This can either be done as an immediate (a.k.a. blind) transfer, or you can talk to the second party then transfer.
As described above, Call Transfer is comprised of 2 separate calls; the initial call, and the second call which eventually connects with the first caller once you hang up the TBB line. You will be responsible for any Long Distance charges on the first call (if you dialed), and the second call, as applicable. Once these two calls are connected, you may incur charges for two simultaneous Long Distance calls. This is similar to being charged for double cellular airtime when you conference two calls.
For example, assume you have a Montreal TBB number, and call Toronto. You then transfer the call to your spouse at a Montreal office number. Your TBB line would incur Long Distance charges for the first call only. However, if you transferred the initial Toronto call to Halifax, you would then incur charges for two simultaneous Long Distance calls.
