It only supports the most basic ICO (Icon) file, simply a bitmap file that has been renamed
to ICO to be used as an icon.

After creating the Bitmap file choose File > Save As and change the Save As Type to WINDOWS or OS/2 BITMAP (*.bmp). Then change the .bmp at the end of the file name to .ico and click Save.


Feedback received on this FAQ entry:
  • JFYI: BMP icons are only the 'small' sizes, this does not create 'large' sizes (256x 512x) icons for Windows 8+
