Local Calling Guide

Some very useful telecommunications information on this site.

This site contains local calling, area code, and prefix information for Canada, the United States of America, and other countries which are part of the North American Numbering Plan.

To identify whether or not a call you make will be local, click Local Call Finder on the index page of the site. You will then be asked to input the area code and exchange for your number and for the number that you will be calling. On the results page, along with other information, you will receive a Y or N indicating a local call or not.

The information provided is deemed valid for ILECs, but may not always be valid for CLECs or for wireless carriers. Primus would fall into the category of CLEC, so always check with Primus before assuming that the information provided on this page is correct.
