How Do I Reset My Actiontec GT701? (#13742)

To reset your Actiontec GT701 modem to it's factory default settings: With the modem powered up and the first 3 lights green, push AND HOLD the little reset button on the back of the modem until all the lights go out and just the power light goes red. Release the button and wait till the first 2 lights are green. You should NOW be able to access the modem via the ethernet cable. Hopefully when you plug the computer into it via ethernet, the 4th light will go green.
