Did you setup your Modem per the Guide? You do not need to install any Earthlink Software.

To use a Router behind the ZyXEL you need to place it into Bridge Mode and setup your Router to handle PPPoE with your full username and password.

If you cannot reach the setup IP of 192.168.1.1 for the ZyXEL then make sure you setup your PC for DHCP:

What do the LEDs show for the status of the unit? Your PC will be given a Private IP of 192.168.1.33 and the ZyXEL will be reachable at 192.168.1.1

NOTE: The new service bundle uses ADSL2+ only and you will need the Earthlink supplied ADSL2+ modem to connect unless you have your own ADSL2+ ready Modem. A standard ADSL Modem will NOT work. As of 2006/2007 the ZyXEL P660R-61/P660R-ELNK are the only two ADSL2+ Modems provided by Earthlink. None of the earlier modems from Earthlink can support ADSL2+.
