It is very possible that at some point you may qualify for FastAccess service. In many areas BellSouth is rapidly deploying a hardware solution called a "Remote DSLAM" that allows service to customers that are more than 18,000 feet from their CO. The best advice is to periodically check with BellSouth to see if such a solution is available in your area. Here is a link to the BellSouth Broadband Deployment Schedule.
