You will need an Internet connection for guided setup. The TiVo retrieves guide and lineup information from its servers on the Internet.

There are several options if you don't have an ethernet connection convenient to the Tivo.

•Many people buy the TiVo wireless adapter.

•A better option for FiOS users is a MOCA bridge. One side of a MOCA bridge connects to the coax, the other side provides a 100Mbps ethernet connection. This provides a faster and more reliable connection than wireless.

Several MOCA bridges are available:

•Actiontec MI424-WR
•Actiontec ECB2200
