1) Go to Start-Run, type "ASD", press the "enter" key, check off everything that says "PnP Bios", choose "ok", reboot PC. Sometimes the PC will lock up after the initial installation of the 4060 and you will have to reenable the items through ASD(Agent Skip driver).
2) If the modem is plugged into a USB hub, you should plug it straight into a USB port on the computer. The 4060 has alot of problems downloading the firmware from the PC when there is a hub in between the modem and the PC. You can also try to move it on a different USB port.
3) If you have a desktop PC, you could replace the 4060 modem for an ethernet modem if this is a new order. It's much more flexible and less hassle.
