Default gateway address: 192.168.1.254
Default user-name/password: admin/telus
Gateways work for:
-Adsl = Telus packages of 1Mbps to including 15Mbps
--15Mbps package can be Adsl or Vdsl
-Vdsl = Telus packages 25Mbps and up
-IPTV = Vdsl
The gateways can be bridged but don't ask Telus, as they only offer very basic support and don't make it easy for the end user to bridge via a one click button
No 'modem only' are available from Telus. You can purchase your own Adsl or Vdsl unit from a third party. No Telus support will be given to those customer owned units

Current Gateways(modem/router) 2015
Newest(late 2014) Telus Gateways(modem/router) are:
-Actiontec T1200H for single line service.
-Actiontec T2200H for bonded(pair) line service.
Both come with Port1 Bridge mode, for using your own router to be able to connect direct to the WAN side of the Telus gateway. You will receive your second Telus IP address this way.

Older Gateways:
-Zyxel vsg1432
-Actiontec v1000h
-Actiontec v2000h , for bonded lines
These units can no longer be bridged.

-The ALU cellpipe 7130 is an older Vdsl modem.
For any gateways not listed, call Telus and get a new one, as they are discontinued.

Fibre to the Home users:
At your ONT(optical network terminal):
--Internet only subscribers can use their own router plugged into it.
--For users that also have Optik TV, Telus prefers you use the Actiontec, which operates in 'router mode' on fibre. Multicast is the reason.
If you use a 'network switch' plugged into the ONT, you can use your second Telus IP address with either 2 routers or 1 router and 1 Telus gateway(for Optik TV).
