Go to the following site for information on how to setup and troubleshoot email clients. If you have started or migrated to Yahoo then your email settings will be: Incoming Mail Server: pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com If your email is @sbcglobal.net then: Incoming Mail Server: pop.sbcglobal.net Outgoing Mail Server: smtpauth.sbcglobal.net For details see: global.swbell.net/help/sims/ If your email is @prodigy.net then, Incoming (POP3) Mail Server: pop.prodigy.net Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server: smtp.prodigy.net For details see: help.prodigy.net/help/learn/basics/email.html#settings Note: for Prodigy Users from a company LAN, etc., use Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server: smtpauth.flash.net If your email is @swbell.net then, most likely your service started before Aug 01, 2001: Incoming Mail Server: postoffice.swbell.net Outgoing Mail Server: mail.swbell.net For details see: dialup.swbell.net/help/sims/ Username and Password: User/Pass you got during the registration process. Here is the latest from the help site
1. Open your email client program.
2. Locate the email account settings for your particular client.
3. Change the POP server to pop.att.yahoo.com.
4. Change the SMTP server to smtp.att.yahoo.com.
5. Check the option labeled Use an encrypted connection (SSL).
* Change the SMTP port to 465.
6. Check the option labeled Use an encrypted connection (SSL).
* Change the POP3 port to 995.
7. Confirm the above settings before clicking OK.
