Can I use a USB DSL Modem with Earthlink's DSL service? (#2854)
Although Earthlink's technical support may tell you otherwise, you can basically use almost any DSL modem with Earthlink's DSL service, USB or ethernet, internal or external--provided that it is configured with a VPI/VCI of 0/35 or 8/35. And yes, you can use Earthlink's WinPoet software (or any other PPPoe software) to log-on.
