  • I updated Java and I added exception for this site and it will not work. I have never been able to get this to work. Java is garbage.

  • Java Security has blocked dslreports from running because they say it is an untrusted application.

    2016-06-09 13:55:11

  • Doesnt work, Java blocking, added to exception list still doesnt work....

    2016-03-10 06:35:29

  • Error: access denied ("java.net.SocketPermission" "64.91.255.98:8086" "connect, resolve") This is all we get on the tweak test....5 browsers, not resolved. dslreports.com added to permissions. Lot of feedback here about this nonfunctional. HOW ABOUT A FIX????

  • This Tool no longer works with the latest versions of Java, and Java plugins are no longer supported in Chrome... I think it's time to ditch the Java applet...

  • Java message: Application Blocked by Java Security "For security, applications must now meet the requirements for the High or Very high security settings, or be part of the Exception Site List, to be allowed to run." More information: http://java.com/en/download/help/jcp_security.xml Solution: 1. In the Java control panel app, under the Security tab, select "Enable Java content in the browser", security level "Very high", then Apply. 2. Click on "Edit Site List", add an exception for the following URL: http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks Notes: - your browser must support the Java plug-in and the plug-in must be enabled - Firefox users running NoScript must configure NoScript to allow Java - Chromium does not support the Java plug-in Although the application now runs, at the present time it still does not work because the application reports: The test server is unreachable Error: access denied - java.net.socketpermission _______ Reference http://java.com/en/download/faq/exception_sitelist.xml Is there a native tool for various platforms which does the same thing, or some alternative that does not require Java?

  • On Firefox: Close Firefox Clear Firefox cache (CCleaner) Open Java in your Window's OS control panel Find the option to restore security prompts Add http://www.dslreports.com to exceptions in Java Close Java control panel Navigate to DSLreports Worked for me

  • Tweak Tester wouldn't run regardless of security level. Temporarily adding dslrports.com to the Exception Site List (on the security tab) let me run it... but I shouldn't have had to.

  • Tool will not run with Java7 /51. Clicking do not block has no effect. Nor does reducing security settings. Java message says reason it wont run is because it has a combination of signed and unsigned code.
