A step by step guide with screenshots of each step can also be found here.

First step:

Go to the TSC download page here. Doing that will cause a download window to pop up on your screen. Clean install or new install, choose the 1st option. (We almost never use the 2nd option to upgrade)

In the dialog box that will appear select the "Save" or "Run from this location" option. It is probably better to SAVE. Enter the location on your computer to save the file, and start the download.
If you get a warning that says that the application is unknown, select the Accept/Allow button.
This is simply a security warning to make sure you know who you are downloading from. This software does not interfere with the normal operation of your computer. Once the installer starts running, you can leave the default options as they are. Just click Yes to accept the installation path.
NOTE: You can close the window displaying the molecule at any time. It will not interrupt processing.

If the download does not begin, you can go here and download.

Second step:
After you have downloaded the program, navigate to the folder where you saved it. Click or double-click on the file. It will be named installTSC.exe. Follow the prompts and let the program install.
You will see a window that asks if you want the program to automatically start when you start Windows. Select your preference.

In the next window, you will be asked to enter your email address. You need to be connected to the internet while completing this step.
Note: Always register your nodes with the same email address! This will keep them in the same member account.

When you've done this, the program will download its data, and begin to process. You will see the Agent's window for the first time. Your crunching has begun!

In the upper right corner of the Agents screen, you will see a "Node ID". Take note of this number for the next step.

Step Three:
Register and join the Team on the TSC site!
Go to this site.
In the spaces provided, enter your Node number, your email address that you used in the previous step, your member name and a password. (You might want to use your DSLR member name.)

Next, make sure you join Team Discovery on TSC. In the next screen, you will see an option for joining teams. Follow the prompts to a screen where you can search for a team. Click on the B and find Broadband Reports Team Discovery. You can also do this by going here.

That's it! Welcome aboard!
