  • Cisco 675/678: What do these lights on my modem mean?
Both the Cisco 675 and Cisco 678 modems have diagnostic lights that allow you to check the activity on your modem.
WAN LNK: A steady green light shows that the modem has made a connection through the telephone line to MSN Broadband.
WAN ACT: A blinking yellow light shows that the modem is sending/receiving data.
LAN LNK: A steady green light shows that the modem has made a connection to a computer through your LAN.
LAN ACT: A blinking yellow light shows that the modem is sending/receiving data.
ALARM: A red light warns that the modem has an internal problem.
POWER: A steady green light shows that the modem is on.
