There are several potential reasons. Try the following possible solutions:•Check filters so that the PHONE port is connected to the device and the LINE is connected to the wall jack. •Make sure filters are installed on all devices that share the same phone line as your DSL service. •Make sure you have the latest drivers for your hardware. •Visit the Broadband Tweaks forum to make sure your computer is setup correctly to take advantage of broadband speeds. •Make sure your modem and phone cords aren't near sources of EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). Such sources include speakers, surge protector, nearby computer cables, your monitor, and rotary devices (fan, drier, etc).
